Super cheap hummus/ and lentil dip
The food is very variable in quality. Cocktail was great. It's great to have a vegetarian non-vegan option but I wasn't that impressed for the price.
We went for my 50th birthday brunch after spending months researching what would be the best place. As a vegetarian and former New Yorker I was excited to try the BD. The service and ambiance were pretty good but the food was quite disappointing. We have had so many outstanding meals here so this was especially unfortunate. Specifically the bread for the avocado toast was dry/stale. The waffle was dry and tasteless and the eggs in the burrito were grey and it had little flavor. The green juice and specialty chai latte were both very good.
We told them we have egg and dairy allergy and still got a reaction on what we order very careless on the food.

Really extensive menu of both vegetarian and vegan options, nice selection of drinks as well.
Staff were mostly friendly and welcoming, and provided recommendations upon asking.
Nice and comfy space to spend a slow afternoon eating and catching up.

Unfortunately the air conditioning was out but many fans made it comfortable. Delicious appetizers large enough for four to share. Will definitely come again.
Avocado Toast is great, the Mojito Matcha is super cute

Sigh. We made a reservation for breakfast and were seated quickly, but no server came for 15 minutes, so my fiance went inside to ask for service. Our disgruntled server eventually took our order. Food came pretty quickly, but my dish was completely wrong. On the second try, our correct food came. My fiancé’s burrito was decent and had nice presentation. My country breakfast arrived somewhat sloppy and uninspired, and the flavor followed suit. The impossible patty was very dry, and the biscuit was quite possibly the worst I’ve had in NYC - tasted warmed from frozen and made 2 weeks ago. Finally, my fiance asked for a coffee refill, but the mug never came back through us paying for our meal. Maybe it was an off day, and I think the vibe inside was better than outside, so we want to give Butchers Daughter a second chance. Really disappointed with our first try.
