Coffee and lunch are reasonably priced and delicious, and to say the least, it's a spacious cafe with a relaxing view of Manhattan and nature.

Great sandwich.
Excellent lunch we had today. A delicious tomato soup and a turkey sandwich on bagel bread. The place is clean, warm and helped us regain energy to continue walking. Highly recommended. Affordable prices.

Got the “Indian daily dish”… $15 for five pieces of tofu (paneer) and a half scoop of chickpeas… tastes like corporate cafe food. (How is it even possible to make saag paneer that tastes this bad?)
Soup is sometimes lukewarm and sandwich meats are sometimes too tough to chew… impossible to recommend.
This place would not be competitive even in Midtown. Priced like boutique restaurant food but tastes worse than Chipotle and Dig. Only reason it has business is because it has a monopoly on the southern side of Roosevelt Island, and it is certainly exploiting that monopoly (and Cornell Tech students).

Some food items are so overpriced and some drinks are always ‘sold out’. The people working at the cashier really seem to hate their jobs.
Interest! We sat mostly for the toilets, being tourists, but it was a good opportunity to stare at the students who swarm it, most of them of Asian origin. It doesn't have a wide range of drinks, but the toilets are spotless!

I suggested to some friends that we eat lunch at the Cafe. We ate there on Thursday, August 1, 2024. They had several items which all were put on one plate for $14. The chicken was totally overcooked, burnt, and dry. Couldn't even bite into to it. When I asked what was in another service tray I was told mushrooms. I asked that they add the mushrooms to my plate. Whatever they added it sure wasn't mushrooms which turned out to be something that was very stringy, almost like some overcooked meat. They added the cole slaw to the same plate which made everything soggy. Needless to say, I will never eat there again.

We stopped at the Cornell Tech cafe when we visited Roosevelt island. We tried an ice tea and a caprese sandwich. We loved the sandwich so much that we got another one. The potato chips that came along with the sandwich were unique and very tasty too. The prices are unparalleled and this is definitely the best place to eat on this side of the island. There are seating areas inside and outside with great views.

School is closed, but a very welcome cooling down with refreshments in the cafeteria.

I want to have some coffee but the cashier on his phone probably he dont want to work. I asked him if he have if he has smothies, and he said "No more smothies, only coffee and the beverages from the refrigerator" with a bad actitude, they close at 7:00pm and they don't have what they said in the menu?
