The food we did receive was good (the salad and empanadas). Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by several issues. It seemed the team wasn’t prepared for a Saturday lunch service at 12:45 PM. My husband received the wrong dish, and what he did get was lukewarm. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when one person has to send theirs back and ends up losing their appetite.
I was surprised by how unclean the bathroom was. Even in the dim lighting, there was a large dead roach on the floor, and the air vents near the kitchen looked filthy. Had I seen the bathroom or noticed the vents beforehand, I wouldn’t have eaten here. It left me wondering whether the space is being properly maintained.
It’s a shame, I had high hopes for this place.

I came here like 5 years ago and today I came back. Man, these birria tacos are still amazing. The flavor is super good, the meat so tender, and the consommé just makes everything perfect.
I eat birria tacos in many places, but honestly here they are different — like more authentic, more tasty.
For me, best birria tacos in NYC. No doubt.

This place is a gem! Authentic Mexican cuisine. The food is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Special thanks to Caesar—he’s awesome! Even though the place was super busy and he was the only server on the entire floor, he made sure we had everything we needed. He took care of everyone with incredible speed and attention. Truly a superhero.
