A bit overpriced but much nicer than other restaurants. We had a lovely time and our waiter Tony was amazing. The steak we asked for was medium rare and it was a bit too cooked (more like medium to medium well, not red in the center anymore) but we hate to send steaks back as we know they simply throw those out. Otherwise, the taste and flavors were simply fantastic. Would visit again for an occasion!

March 2024:After my last disappointed visit, I gave this restaurant another chance and visited this one. What can I say, the food was ok. One steak was just about good (almost too raw). My filet mignon was a little better this time, but was rather overcooked for the medium cooking level (some of it cooked all the way through, some of it a little better). Definitely too poorly made for a steakhouse. I can cook this better at home! The side dishes were ok.Our waitress (Maricruz) was a bright spot. She was super friendly and very professional. I wish her colleagues were the same. Unfortunately, her colleagues didn't care that we still had dirty dishes from the starter on the table. So we cleared the table ourselves. Strange for a steakhouse in this price range. Especially when the restaurant was half full, you could support each other. Team spirit? A foreign word here. It's probably the manager who walked through the restaurant twice but doesn't see the problems. Would I come again? Maybe because of Maricruz, which provided top service, but no longer because of the food. The 3 stars are only because of her. Otherwise it would probably have stayed at 2 stars.September 2023:We went there again for dinner. Since we have otherwise had excellent experiences at other locations in this chain, we wanted to try it here again. The service was minimal. The menu was never handed over, the food was brought and the wine was refilled once or twice. There was nothing more. No explanation of the evening's specials, no asking what the food was like, nothing. The food was ok. The starters were very good, the steaks were different. One perfect, the other not so good. Gray and chewy on one half and just chewy on the other side. Was probably a section of the fillet.

So yummy!!! Lobster bisque and a Caesar salad are such a good lunch combo. Don’t forget a cosmopolitan cocktail ?

Host was friendly and accommodating. Great ambiance for business or pleasure. I ordered the Grand Plateau for the table which was exactly as we expected. My entree was the Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms and Fig Essence. Delicious is an understatement. I shared Sam's Mashed Potatoes, Creamed Spinach and The Capital Grille Cheesecake (only because I didn't have much room for dessert) but wish I could have ate it all by myself. Everything was great! Will be taking my family for dinner soon.

I hosted one of our partners for dinner. It was an opportunity for us to build upon our relationship and for them to interact with our CEO. We had a private room upstairs which was very conducive to getting to know each other in a quiet setting. The food was tremendous. My steak was tender and delicious. The Bordeaux wine that I picked to accompany our meal appeared to be a hit for everyone.

We're visiting from Los Angeles and looking for a good steakhouse. The capital Grille was recommended by the Hilton on 57th St. the appetizers were exceptional. We had lobster bisque and lobster and crabcakes for dinner. I had to filet mignon with specially prepared, onions, and mushrooms. my wife had twin New York medallion steaks and lobster. Everything was cooked to perfection and rather large portions the staff at the capital Grille we're very inviting friendly and knowledgeable on the items on the menu. They did not helicopter over us and let us enjoy our meal. They will check on us from time to time, they kept our drinks. Fall desserts were first class we had the crème brûlée. we were celebrating our son, leaving for a new job so the waiter surprised him with a very nice dessert on the house. I highly recommend the capital Grille for the ambience service and menu.

Atmosphere good (asked to be moved from a booth too close the kitchen, just too noisy, staff cheerfully accommodated this request) ~ Food & cocktails, superb as usual! ~ Service (by Jose) a bit disappointing, had ask for too many refills of water and soft drinks from other staff, Jose disappeared after the food was served (until presenting the bill). But, in total, a good meal; left a $40 tip on a $200 dinner.

It was an excellent meal. The tenderloin was amazing tender and delicious. The lobster Mac and cheese was also very good. The cheesecake was amazing. The appetizer was great too. We order the lobster and crab cake.

Portion's definitely don't match the price , noodles for lobster Mac were undercooked , bread was hard , lemon drop had no sugar or salt around the rim 14oz ny strip was definitely 10oz. Oh & they like sit black people to the back.

I would have given this restaurant 10 stars if I could. Very easily one of the best meals I ever had. Wow! The lobster bisque was so creamy. The crab/lobster cake was awesome, but the basil sauce was even better than that. The sea bass was exceptional with that butter sauce. So good. My wife's sliced filet was cooked to perfection and so good. The cheese cake at the end was light and so yummy. I want to eat like that everyday. So amazing. The service was as good as the food. Maria was amazing and gave us so much good advice. She took amazing care of us. She had help from Hassan who was always on point to help with whatever we needed plus some great conversation. They both made our experience that much better. Thank you!!!!

I had the WORSE EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE with this Capital Grille and their management and this is not my first time here. My boyfriend and I made reservations for VALENTINES DAY and we arrived 3 MINUTES after 9:45PM because we were unable to find parking, So I decided to walk into the restaurant while my boyfriend looked for parking and he said I couldn't be seated without him which made no sense because there were other couples in the lobby waiting to be seated so either way we would've been waiting for our table. But the manager NICK still refused to sit us down because he said his kitchen was closing and after 9:45 there's nothing he can do. As a manager how can you not accommodate someone coming into your establishment ready to spend money and its VALENTINES DAY for Christ sake!! He could've made an exception but chose not too and ruined our Valentine's Day. I am so disappointed in this company and restaurant and the manager NICK should be FIRED because clearly he doesn't know how to run a business! I will be taking this to fullest extent because I believe we were treated VERY POORLY and this is not the end of it. Will never return to this disgusting location AGAIN!

Incredible place. We come from Scranton, PA every year, 4 years in a row to celebrate our anniversary here. It's worth every minute in the car and every penny. The hostess brought us to a booth with hearts sprinkled on the table and a Happy Anniversary card. Sam, our amazing server, brought us two glasses of complimentary Prosecco. Service and food were outstanding. Finally, we were treated to a plate of cheesecake with Happy Anniversary written on the plate in chocolate, also gratis. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
