it's incredible such a place exists in the city! it's very chill and perfect to hang out with friends. the chais are amazing too and really delicious. also love the fact that 50% goes to charity.

We came too late to sit but when I looked in, I was not impressed. It felt like a hole in the wall from the door and didn't seem sanitary. Bought a chai $7 for an original. Tasted like a packet mix that was watered down. I will not return to try the ambiance or chai.

We liked this place! Nice staff, relaxing atmosphere and they are engaged in humanitarian causes.

The place looks cozy but smell. For the price of $7 sooo expensive and doesn’t taste that good. The area is in Chinatown so I rather get tea from coffee truck or from Vietnamese sandwich place near by because they serve it in paper cups and it about 6oz size. Definitely too expensive for the area too small 6oz for the price and doesn’t taste good AT ALL.

The butter chai is amazing! So rich and creamy. I got to try samples of the other ones and they were delicious. There is a super charming room inside with lots of good vibes

Chai: 2 | Service: 5 | Vibe: 1

Very disappointed. The chai is extremely overpriced and underwhelming ($6.50 - $10 for a single cup is absurd). The furniture looks like it was just taken out of a dusty storage unit. The lighting makes it look like you actually never left the storage unit. The "games" are a random assortment of cards from different games all jammed together in a few bins. The bathroom was filthy and also had boxes of coffee cups in there which did not look sanitary. The entrance to the seating area reeks from all the shoes lying around there.

The service, however, was fantastic and very friendly.

The original Chai Spot location in Arizona is wonderful and I was fortunate enough to meet the owner's mother there. This place has a beautiful history and there is so much potential for the NY location, but it's such a shame to see this place in the state that it's in. There is better chai nearby!

Was good for a tea. Not for a chai. Samosas and biscuits are good.

Love this vibe and the seating area is so cute!! Would honestly be 5 stars if the lighting was warm instead of fluorescent white

Wish we’d discovered this place sooner. Chill spot, great spot for friends and family. Chai options are great.

It was a nice place to just talk and hang out with friends! They also had games and books for you to read while you lounge in their carpeted and cushion area. With the the Christmas lights strung up on the walls, it really felt like you've stepped into someone's living room. It had very homey cozy vibes to it. People are required to purchase a drink or food item in order to enter the carpeted area, and everyone has to take off their shoes before they get onto the carpet area (there are shoe racks).

We tried the rose (tasted like lychee?), mango (mango flavor overpowered the lemonade) and regular lemonade (a bit sour which is a given). But I liked that there wasn't really a time limit on how long you could chill there. My friends and I ended up spending about 2 hours playing a board game and chatting away.

It is soo beautiful inside but I cannot go there until the replace the HORRIBLE fluorescent lights with dimmer lighting. The place is so gorgeous and the chai is divine and the charity is so important but please replace the lighting in your chai den!!!! I can’t actually understand going thru the trouble and expense of making a place so beautiful and then using horrible fluorescent lights to ruin it all. Go the extra mile and give it good lighting. Even a bunch of inexpensive floor lamps from goodwill would be better!
