Nice bar… but I was overcharged for drinks. Good thing I was checking my receipt.

Best avoided for families , bad service. The pictured barman ignored us, and when after 30 minutes we asked why he hadn’t taken our food order, he said he was too busy watching the television. Refused to give his name. Responded by turning his back and saying we’d only been there ten minutes. His breath smelled strongly of alcohol. I can only assume he is the Irish Owner of this English-appearing pub, to feel comfortable treating customers like that.

The decor is still all right but the place went down hill. I used to love the scotch egg. Now it's burned, dry, hard boiled.

Went in St. Patrick's day, was not over full and we got a booth right away. Service was friendly and as quick as a full pub allows. Food was surprisingly good, we went for a bunch of starters as we like variety. Good location, clean, worth the

The Churchill Tavern, it's this little slice of England, right in the heart of the Flatiron district. It's the kind of place Churchill himself might've stumbled into after a long day, probably would've grumbled about the noise. Now, the joint’s crammed with U.K. classics - the food, I mean. It's like the British invaded again, but this time with their kitchen. You've got your pies and your fish and chips, but twisted up, like they've seen a bit of the world outside the foggy isles. The beer, hell, it flows like the Thames. Every kind of brew you could want, right there on draught, ready to drown your sorrows or lift your spirits, whatever you're after. And here's a thing - old Winston, he had a soft spot for flicks. Loved 'That Hamilton Woman', watched it over and over. Probably saw a bit of himself in it, battling against the odds. He had his quirks too, like any of us. Liked to paint, they say. Might've even been happier with a brush than a cigar. But back to the tavern. Come the holidays, it's like a Dickens novel come to life. All decked out, sparkling lights and tinsel. It's got a warmth to it, makes you forget you're in the concrete jungle and not some old London street. The Churchill Tavern, it's more than just a pub. It's a reminder of a different time, a different place. Maybe a bit of a refuge for those of us who've seen too much, or maybe not enough. It's a spot where you can sit back, raise a glass to old Winston, and let the world spin on without you for a while.

Very impressed!I'm British and my father is Irish. Believe you me I've seem the worst of a pub. This is a great tavern. It is what you want. Good beer. Good food. Good atmosphere. I can't believe I saw a review complaining about noise. It's a PUB. If you want a library go to a library.I had the Curry Half and Half. Half chips, half rice. They brought me extra curry sauce. The beer is poured properly.Everything is clean.Music is good without being too loud.Honestly anyone moaning is deeply unhappy with life and the sort of people you don't want near you when you're out for an evening.

Bartender was so rude. Asking me if I had had enough tonight the moment we walked in. I would have never stayed here unless my friends.Never again.

Went here for a friend's birthday ?. We ? LOVED the food & atmosphere, plus it was right by the train. Exotic British dishes you don't get everywhere like steak and ale pie and scotch eggs. Onion soup was to die for. Yum!. Staff was very attentive.Wheelchair accessibility: Batthroom was on same floor as restaurant. There may be one step to get inside restaurant.

Friends and I came here tonight. It was a cool time. Festive Christmas decorations. The Wassail was good! The food could have been better. I ordered the pot pie, and it was just filling with a puff pastry on top...and i got salad but they gave me no dressing lol. Pros and cons, pros and cons.
