Friend had her birthday party here and we all had a great time. Our servers were great and warmly delivered everything we needed. The restaurant is beautiful and foods and drinks were delicious. I’ve been to this Edition Hotel many times. The smell is amazing and the best (btw you can buy the diffuser or reed or candles on their website). Love this magical and iconic place!

The clocktower bar has so much potential to be something special. Unfortunately the staff are all stiff and little personality. The bar itself is cute, but the layout makes it a challenge. If they could staff this with the right people it could be something special special. I had a lovely glass of Chablis and a the milk punch cocktail. Milk pouch was a delight, but couldn’t taste the alcohol - we all need a hint of it at least. Hope the staff learn to focus less about how little they put in our cups, and focus on craft. There’s hardly anything in the drinks. One shot (of a pre-made drink) is not strong and contains very little alcohol. Premade. Let that sink in. Drinks are weak.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Clocktower is an absolute standout. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, stylish, and effortlessly inviting. The service is impeccable—attentive without being overbearing—and every dish is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Ingredients are clearly top quality, and the menu strikes a perfect balance between creative and comforting. Whether you’re there for a special occasion or a relaxed meal, The Clocktower delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.
If you want it shorter, more casual, or focused on a specific meal (breakfast, brunch, dinner, cocktails), say the word and I’ll tailor it.

My partner and I ended up going to The Clocktower after seeing an Instagram video about the top new places to visit in New York City. We decided to go based purely on how stunning the restaurant looked, and I’m so glad we did.
When I arrived, it was a total surprise to realize The Clocktower is actually the restaurant inside the world-famous EDITION Hotel in New York. The atmosphere felt incredibly “New Yorker” in the best way. It has a classic, old-fashioned vibe with beautiful portraits lining the walls, giving it a warm, sophisticated, timeless feel.
The service was truly five stars. Absolutely amazing from start to finish.
We ordered several appetizers, main dishes, and desserts, and everything was delicious and notable. The halibut was honestly to die for, one of the best I’ve ever had. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the artichoke green sauce was next level. We also ordered the shepherd’s pie, which was rich, comforting, and extremely flavorful.
For dessert, we tried multiple options, and the standout for me was the pudding. It was seriously really, really, really good. The drinks were excellent as well, perfectly crafted and very high quality.
Overall, this was such a memorable experience. It’s one of those places I will absolutely come back to, and it’s also the kind of restaurant I’d bring friends visiting New York to impress them.
Highly recommended.

Unfortunately they took my drink before I finished it.
Food was decent-- duck and cherry + halibut was cooked well. However the side Macaroni and cheese with wild mushroom was extremely runny and the pasta was overcooked.
Despite being one of the only people dining at this time, service was poor. Atmosphere was beautiful.

The food hit that rare sweet spot where every dish feels intentional—comforting but elevated, familiar but surprising.
And then there’s Ken—because hospitality like that deserves its own headline. Ken made the night feel personal, not transactional. Attentive without hovering, charismatic without performing, and genuinely invested in making sure every detail landed. The kind of manager who makes you feel like a regular on your very first visit.
Most definitely deserves return visits.

Made the Christmas Eve dinner for here because all the great reviews. Unfortunately, was disappointed!
The signature dish is Wellington steak, the skin was dry and the beef was poorly cooked. The sea bass was fleshing and tasty.
I am the person who crazy about the chocolate but the desserts were too sweet.
No comment about their service. Only in the beginning, was explaining the dishes for us, later on….
A good place for photo shoots.

I was served fried eggs that were blatantly undercooked. The whites never congealed and sat on the plate as a translucent, jelly-like mass. The eggs would not slide at all, so I removed the rest of the food just to keep it from touching them.
Only then did I see what was underneath: a deep pool of black, bitter grease left behind by other items on the plate. The eggs themselves were not even cooked enough to have browned or crisped. They were simply placed onto an already greasy plate and sent out.
I did not eat the dish. I left it untouched and walked out.
This is not a subtle flaw or a matter of preference. It is basic execution. Undercooked eggs sitting in someone else’s burnt grease would be unacceptable at a diner. At these prices, in a space that clearly wants to project luxury, it is embarrassing.
If a restaurant cannot handle a fried egg cleanly and intentionally, there is no reason to trust anything else coming out of the kitchen.

Fabulous service and great food!
Nice restaurant in the Edition hotel. We had a lovely waiter that started off with us but then disappeared for the rest of the night and we had to keep hailing down someone. Ordered the scallop appetizer which was lovely, but only had one scallop. For dinner we had the beef Wellington and mac and cheese. We both did not like the mac n cheese, and the beef Wellington was pretty good.
Be advised, if you are a Marriott employee, your discount does not work here.

Restaurantji Recommends
A friend says it's a bit stuffy but what do you expect!? If you read about it before your visit then it's exactly what you'd expect. Felt like a Private Member's Club [and I wasn't mad about it]. The cocktails were creative and sublime (I forgot the name of the cocktail but I would return just for that! lol) The food was great too!

Manager was rude!
Management/Owners are incredibly unprofessional. Do NOT waste your time and DO NOT recommend!
Yesterday we celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday at your restaurant. Everything was excellent and the atmosphere felt very luxurious. However, there was a long wait time — about an hour and a half — for the Wellington steak.
More concerning, later that night after returning home, all of us experienced severe diarrhea. None of us had eaten anything earlier that day, so we suspect it may have been caused by either the steak tartare or the Scotch egg. My girlfriend became especially sick, which unfortunately ruined what was meant to be a special day.

The flavors here hit all the right notes. Fresh preparation but I needed a larger serving. Workers are extremely pleasant and ready to help with whatever you need. The ambiance adds significant value. Our consensus is to definitely come back.
