Delivery, was fast. But the Szechuan green beans are total mush. The moo shu is flavorless and watery. Remember when NYC Chinese food was great! It was a treat to look forward to. My fear is the older generation have died out and failed to share their knowledge. Soooo damn

I came in for an appetizer. A nice Sapporo beer and pan fried dumplings all for a reasonable price. The dumplings were really good and well presented.

Good Chinese takeout on the uws.I got mapo tofu and a chicken dish with brown rice. Both dishes were filling and delicious. The prices are fair and service was prompt and friendly.
The Sign says New Cottage Restaurant. It is on 78 Street and Broadway. They claim that they have the same cooks but there was no one there from the old restaurant. The food was not the same the pork dumplings were old you can tell when you cut them open and look at the meat. The scallion pancakes were not crispy. We also had house Lo mein it had 4 shrimp. The orange chicken was old meat and not very orangey. No more free wine or fortune cookies. They continually pushed to up sell. The waitress continually asked us to order more expensive items on the menu and continually hassled us about ordering entrees. A woman next to us dining alone asked for a glass a wine and was being pushed to by a whole bottle. She finally told the waitress loudly l don’t want 4 glasses of wine. Dessert is almond cookies you usually get for free in other restaurants. Will search for new Asian restaurant on Westside stay tuned. Sorry to disappoint

Great food and service promo delicious! I had the spicy chicken. A very intimate setting, and the personal were very nice.
I ordered sweet and sour chicken for delivery..what I got was strips of breaded chicken with sauce on the side. I called up to say I have the wrong delivery. she said that is how we do it. I said, this is horrible and not sweet and sour chicken an I want to send it back. She said that was not possible..I said I will never order from you again and threw it out..
Delicious food, best Chinese I've tasted in NYC
Does anyone know if they are opening back up?
Love the egg rolls and the fried chicken
