When I thought about the concept of a boozy Easter Sunday brunch, the Crooked Knife immediately came to mind.Don't be intimidated if you enter through the basement because this restaurant offers covered back seating and a spacious backyard filled with natural light. We were promptly seated at our reserved time, even though our entire party hadn't arrived yet. While waiting for the others, our server started pouring mimosas for us. We decided to go for the unlimited mimosas or Bloody Mary with an entree deal for $47, which we thought was a fantastic offer.I opted for the buttermilk chicken sandwich, which came with bacon and fries. I was impressed by the generous portion of the sandwich, and it was delightfully crispy on the outside while remaining juicy on the inside. The rest of our group seemed to thoroughly enjoy their entrees. We never ran out of the carafe of mimosa on our table, and our glasses were always kept full. This place is highly recommended for large groups celebrating anniversaries or hosting private gatherings.
Best service ever!! Best brunch. Recommend this place to everyone. The staff is very nice and friendly, the food is amazing. Props to Nikola the bartender.
Good place, I guess. The brunch deal is a bit expensive, really, since they don't offer anything extra or anything different from the rest of the places you could go for brunch, it's good quality, good food, good atmosphere, good music, but I honestly thought that for the price, you could get all those same things in a more affordable place.
the fish tacos were great! Not crowded (went around 630) and good service. They were out of multiple drinks which made the experience less fun because the alternative drinks were not as good but will definitely go back here!
Im giving one star because the host i spoke to on the phone at 14th St was so rude, that we ended up going to another location. I called to make a reservation and the first person i spoke to said “sure, come at 3”. After hanging up, i realized that they never asked for my name. I call back to give my name for the reservation and another person answers, then proceeds to challenge that i even made a reservation in the first place. After explaining what happened, they said, “you couldn’t have made a reservation if you didnt give your name”. When i explained that i did make a reservation, but the person never asked for my name, the guy AGAIN repeated that this was “not possible”. I called 5 minutes prior and the guy wants to call me a liar all because of a name. Not only that, but they had the availability. So the back and forth was pointless. He wanted to be rude for no reason. Then he finally takes my name and abruptly hangs up. I was disgusted with the level of service. Also i ate at the location on 30th street. Food was OK. Just average stuff nothing unique. There are other bottomless mimosa brunches that cost less than $50 with better food. Mimosas were bitter. Host at 14th st shouldn’t be working in restaurants, no customer service skills, very combative.
Such a delicious brunch. I had the Kevin Bacon eggs Benedict, and it was spectacular. But as good as the food (and mimosas!) were, the service was even better. I happened to be talking with my waiter about how it was going to rain soon, and I hadn’t thought to bring an umbrella. Five minutes later, he came back with one for me. Johnny - thank you! It’s one of the nicest things anyone has done for me. You absolutely made my day (and saved my hair).
We visited The Crooked Knife for brunch in the autumn. It looked like they didn't have that many seating, but, behind the bar was another large dining room, almost hidden. We ordered Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich and The Truffle Shuffle. They were pretty nice portions, which we were happy about. The sandwich was a big sandwich! The chicken was flattened, packed with flavor, I liked the crunchy batter. It was very satisfying sandwich! For someone who loves truffle anything and hash brown, The Truffle Shuffle was impossible to resist. And the way it came out looked amazing! It was like a burger tower of joy. It tasted like a pure joy too. Yum! We had an excellent brunch here at The Crooked Knife. The server was friendly and courteous, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxing and warm. We would definitely go back for some more tasty dishes!
Came in for brunch on a Saturday. We were seated right at our reservation time. They do bottomless mimosas for 1.5 hours, and they bring refills often. At $30/person, it was a good deal. Food was very good and came out quickly. The restaurant has a good vibe and overall was a great value.
Great brunch place! Great vibes, the food is sooo good, the mimosas keep coming and the tall lanky guy is super attentive. Cant wait to go back
Good bottomless brunch. The mimosas were flowing and the food was good. Service was also good. You will need a reservation on the weekend. I will return again!

Very much enjoyed eating at eat! The wait was The Crooked Knife I wanted inside. Outdoor seating was plentiful and many parties were seated ahead of mine. I got the The Crooked Knife it was delicious. My friends got a Benedict which looked The Crooked Knife.
Poor customer service. Came in 8 minutes early for a reservation and was not given a tables (understandable) also could not sit at the bar. ? Went out front and overheard a couple ahead of us, no reservation, host sat them!!! We entered again and we were still made to wait (again) for a table. Given a nice cozy table by the door near the cold winter breeze, My mom wanted to stay, and so we did but we should have left .... Poor options if you are vegetarian or veganWe took the boozy brunch, and they started our time while we spent waiting for a table....If you're thinking about it, it's a hard pass.
Bottomless mimosas did not disappoint! The weekday brunch food menu is quite limited compared to the weekend brunch, but overall food was tasty and service was wonderful.
We just had the BEST experience here! The bartender was SO fun and took great care of us!! Great beer selection and great prices! We will be back and often!!
