The Dawson has hands down been my best experience in New York. We had reservations on New Years Eve. We were seated immediately in a nice cozy booth upstairs. The restaurant itself is beautiful. We had the best waitress. There were plenty food options for any appetite and the drinks were top notch. I would definitely recommend The Dawson!

We had a party of 8 (3 adults and 5 teenagers) and we dined on New Year's Eve day at 5pm. We were seated at a table upstairs. The bar/restaurant was decorated very festively for Christmas/winter holiday. Our waitress started out very attentive. Our only complaint was that she basically disappeared after our food arrived. We had to ask another server (twice) to get our bill. The food was very good. About half of our group ordered burgers and they all liked what they ordered. The mac and cheese was delicious - very creamy. Overall, we would definitely recommend this place and will probably return in the future. (We do not live in NYC and only visit 1-2 times per year.)

Best Sunday roast in NYC by far. Too many places charging 35-50 for a tiny plate of sub par roast. This place gives you the bang for your buck, I got a pile of roast beef with mash potatoes, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, Cauliflower, stuffing and a nice pot of gravy. The service was also top tier. I’m not one to usually make reviews but this place deserves it, top class all around.

Super cute place decorated for christmas! but besides that,, very yummy food & cocktails. Our server, Cait i believe, was sweet and attentive! didn’t bother us and checked up on us the perfect amount of times. Food came out fast and service was quick too. great place to stop in if you’re walking around looking for a chill meal!

Absolutely discouraged and disappointed by the service of the host. I walked in and asked for a wait time and if I could leave my information to wait for a table or sit at a bar and the response I got was “ I’ll come and find you”. Not sure what the gentleman’s problem was or if he had a rough day. Absolutely slammed packed environment and I tried making a reservation ahead of time for two and it said my party was too small to book ahead of time. The people answering the phones are at the bar and have no knowledge of wait time or able to make reservations need of time. Absolutely horrible customer service. I never leave reviews but this was well worth my time to leave one.

We chose this establishment based on the previous ratings and its location. Sadly, only the location held up. Ordered four different meals, three of which were 'not' very good. Only the fish and chips had promise. Clearly, our waitress was hired for her Irish brogue, but she needs to find a different line of work. She was awful. Downright impersonal and completely unattentive. Disappointing all the way around. To boot, it ain't cheap. Won't be back.

We were in the city yesterday and just happened to pop in here for a quick lunch. There was no wait and we were seated quickly. The whole restaurant was decorated beautifully for the holiday! The wait staff was helpful and the service was quick. The food was also great- highly recommend the cauliflower bites. Will definitely be back!
A great bar/restaurant with a cool atmosphere, serving high quality food (recommend the bang bang shrimp!), and excellent cocktails. Thank you Lexi for being so welcoming and looking after me.

Food was OK and lunch for 4 A and 3 children (quesadillas) was near $300 including tip. 2 beers and 1 Bloody Mary. Catriona was lovely. Plus side - reservations near Rock Center are hard to come by around the holidays so we were happy. Family photo by Catriona was worth the price. Thank you

I went here with my sister around 11 PM on a Monday to watch the World Series and despite the hour being late the folks were working here welcome us in and my sister didn’t even get a drink. I was the only one who got a drink, but they were so accommodating and welcoming. I also love the Guinness that they poured me. It was the perfect level of foam on top and I would highly recommend just coming back here to chill out and watch a good game. also, the music that they played this night was just awesome
