A great place to eat in midtown New York. We stayed there for a week and it was the place where they treated us best by far. The food is very good, special mention to the high quality burgers. Highly recommended ?Kid-friendliness: If children are allowed

What a charming spot my hubby and I stumbled upon! Was greeted promptly by a host but we elected to have a seat at the bar, the vibe was kicking! Fantastic selection of liquor especially tequila and whiskey…but I had a cocktail Lady Grace cause I was feeling bougie and hubby enjoyed a rare neat mccallan because he was in a chest thumping tree chopping mood I guess.Bartenders were really pleasant to chat with…super knowledgeable about spirits and the menu.We had shepherds pie (delicious), wings (loved the sauce), Dawson burger and sweet sassy molassy but one of the best fig flatbreads we’ve ever had!We can’t wait to be back!

There was a table of four men that were so loud we had to repeat our food order to the waitress multiple times (my daughter just ended up pointing). We couldn't have a conversation with each other and the men just kept getting louder and louder. They were cussing and hollering. I think it ruined the meal for all the tables around them but no one from the restaurant spoke up. I can't believe they just let them act like that. Someone should have said something.

I came in for lunch one day after passing it a few times. The service was nice, quick and they treated everyone fantastic. The food wasn't so great. The burger tasted delicious but much smaller than expected; the fries tasted like fries from other bars or pubs. I'll probably go again to try the other foods on the menu though.

The Dawson rocks. The food and service were outstanding. My wife and I were visiting NYC from Toronto and visited several restaurants during our stay. Our meal was amazing and so was the service and the atmosphere. Super cool vibes and tremendous value in a city where value is tough to find. Highly recommend. Check it out.

Waited for 40 mins for my soup of the day to come on the table , 50 mins for the other things to come. We were the first table to sit down, wait until everyone gets their food , we were till waiting. And nobody even say sorry about the late. Food was not that good. Bad experience of our New York trip. Not

Terrible, waited for 40 mins to have my first food to come , and it was just the soup of the day , over 50 mins for the other things to come . Nobody said a thing. We were the first table in there , and last to one get the food

Really enjoyed my lunch at this mid-town sleeper! On arrival I was greeted cheerily, but the bartender had gone missing, so it took a while (and the maitre d's intervention) for me to be served. Shepherd's pie was right on point, with a glass of ginger beer. The music was a tad on the loud side, but the contemporary soul, R&B and pop artists in the mix were all good stuff.

Food sounds like typical American dishes, but presentation and taste were fantastic. Best deviled eggs I've probably ever had.
