I do not know why google map showing such lower score, love food and quiet area, nice decoration, simple but quality. Food is fresh and flavorful. Menu changes since last visiting, but still delicious 😋

I have always loved the Met Dining Room and took 2 friends from New Orleans on a recent visit. As I do, they loved the view (even though it was an overcast day!) As always the food was great -- my salmon omelette was light and fluffy. Friends said the copious portion of chicken salad was delicious.

Nicole took great care of us. Lunch and drinks were delicious. We'll be back soon. Thank you. Joan

The food and service were excellent. The caveat is that the ambience needs to be seriously freshened.

As always, we had a delicious repast at the Met Dining Room - exceptional food, good service, and lovely ambiance. A favorite place to go.

This is my third visit, the service is always impeccable but this time around the food was not great.

Making a reservation online was super easy and the restaurant staff were very accommodating, making sure we got arguably the best table in the house with a view and plenty of room for our baby stroller for a pre-Mother's Day lunch.

The food came out quickly and delicious. The only hiccup was the waitress did get our fish dish orders wrong (had ordered one halibut, one salmon, and one swordfish, but we received two halibuts) and I noticed that the two orders of halibut filet that came out varied significantly in size. The two dishes were also still marked wrong on the bill.

Everything else was delicious, including the dessert. The lactation rooms closeby were great, but I wish they'd have changing tables in them and not just the bathrooms which are further away. It's also quite complicated to get to the dining room from the garage, especially on a busy day with a baby & stroller.

Would definitely come back on a less crowded day!

Very disappointing... Food is sub-par quality....flower salad was stale and so was the meat toast ... not recommend one bit.

The Met Dining Room is a beautiful restaurant with views overlooking the park and well curated offerings. While gluten free options are not noted on the menu, staff is very knowledgeable and much of the menu can be modified to be gluten free. Our server even inquired if my gluten free request was for Celiac, so they could take additional precautions. The crab cakes here are outstanding. Would highly recommend.

A Hidden Gem on the Fourth Floor!
Dining at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s fourth-floor restaurant was an unexpected delight. The menu offered a wonderful variety of dishes, beautifully presented and thoughtfully curated to satisfy pescatarians, vegetarians, and everyone in between. Each plate was a feast for the eyes and the palate, absolutely delicious. Our waiter was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. The entire staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and special. If you’re visiting the Met, don’t miss the chance to elevate your experience with a meal here. Highly recommend!

Any trip to the Metropolitan Museum will only be enhanced by this beautiful upscale dining experience. The manager Trevor and our attendant Nicole did nothing but ensure that we had a great dining experience. We shared the tuna avocado as an appetizer, then went on to a flower salad and a Beet salad and finished off with a halibut entrée. Each portion was delicious and beautifully served if your budget allows order a great wine or a bottle of British fizz! A five star experience in a five star museum!

We had a wonderful lunch and all the staff was just so warm and accommodating. I wish I remembered all of their names but Nicole’s cool-friend vibe and Pierre’s sparkling smile were standouts. Highly recommend the Winter Citrus Salad + Bronzino + Hazelnut (dessert).

Our waiter Michael was wonderful he was able to share a story behind some of the museum exhibit pieces that we could see out the window
