Their dessert bar is basically a build-your-own Meet Fresh! And the “yogurt balls” are like popping bubbles filled with yakult- do NOT miss these; they’re SO GOOD!!

In terms of hot pot- it’s solid. I’d say their menu is very meat focused though (as it costs the same amount to get a meat special as a vegetarian special). But the quality of ingredients is very good- veggies are fresh, sauce station is clean.

Above average hot pot in terms of raw ingredients’ quality; but compared to the dolar shop on the west coast, there’s a lack of competition in Manhattan… variety of appetizers is a bit disappointing:$

Too crowded, too loud, too expensive, too small. I miss a lot flushing location, they way they worked was so much better. I hated that the whole night a stranger was all the time hitting my arm cause we didn't have enough space or his leg hitting mine... Food is not bad but... 6 pieces of small eggs 12$..? Idk. Never gonna go back

I wish the AYCE special was available all day or at least during earlier hours, rather than just late evenings. However, the dessert section is a great addition! The quality of the meats was excellent, and the service was great as well!

This place has roaches. We showed up on time for our reservation and waited 45 mins for our table. We ordered, broth came in 10 mins, then veggies 5 mins later, noodles 20 mins later after repeatedly asking and being told that they could not figure out what the problem was, Chinese donuts a little after that and the rest of the items(meats, fake meats, etc), all for the hot pot, almost an hour after we ordered. Started to put them into the soups just in time to see roaches on the wall so hardly touched most. Talked to the manager and he said he would cancel our bill but he did not so leaving the story here to save other guests.

After 9:30pm half of the menu isn’t available due to closing procedures, however they don’t let you know this until you sit down and wait for hours. The quality is overall a downgrade from their previous Flushing location, with noticeable cheaper quality meats. The dessert section is a nice touch, however, still not enough for the price hike. I honestly miss their extensive menu when it wasn’t AYCE. Overall, if you’re in the area and are starving for hotpot, it’s not a bad choice. However, if you are an avid hotpot eater and have time to commute to Flushing, definitely go there instead and get your moneys worth.

I had the pleasure of visiting this hot pot again but not pickup or delivery but actually dine. I had the lunch special menu and it was fantastic. A lot of selection , the staff was great and you can’t beat the atmosphere. This goes without saying that it is pricey (again this is nyc after all) for a lunch hotpot but you get what you pay for because you do get a lot for your money. Highly recommend if I’m craving for hot pot and I’m in the neighborhood.

If you’re new to hotpot or looking for a fun dining experience, Dolar Shop is the perfect spot for a date or a friends’ get-together. I was new to hotpot myself when I visited, and they made it incredibly easy to order and enjoy the meal without any pressure. You can order at your own pace, starting with just what you’d typically eat in a regular meal – one type of meat and one vegetable mix should be plenty for two people. Sichuan and silver broth is a must here. If you want more, it’s easy to order later from the tablet at your table.

A standout feature is the dressing bar, where you can mix sauces and toppings to customize your meal. The highlight for me was the dessert at the end, especially the affogato – a must-try! (Complimentry Dessert item changes everyday is okayish) This spot is perfect for first-timers and offers a laid-back introduction to hotpot dining. Highly recommend for starters! Plus, with plenty of other options popping up in Manhattan and Koreatown, this is a great place to start exploring the hotpot scene.
