Went to the Duplex for a karaoke night, and Luke at the bar made sure I felt included. I was feeling adventurous so he whipped up a new, delicious drink for me, and I proceeded to have a great time listening to people sing their favorites. No negative vibes here.

I had to come on here as I get ready to ring in 2026 at The Duplex. I’m 23 years old and have only been in the city for a little over a year. I mean it with my whole heart when I say I wouldn’t have made it through without Luke and KJ at the bar, and all the stellar keys players. Luke and KJ both took me under their wing and never failed to make me feel welcome, and that I had a place in this big crazy city. I’ve gone there every Monday since, save for a few from common colds and traveling. Love love this place and these people!

The duplex is always a hit! Their bar staff is second to none, especially Sam and KJ. Not only are they excellent bartenders but talented singers to boot! Thats part of the wonderful charm of this nightlife hotspot. Great music in a beautiful bar with delicious drinks! Who could ask for more? And shoutouts to their fabulous pianists that keep the party going all night long!

Sam, Lucas, Danny, T Rex and G were so wonderful and so kind. The servíce was excellent. The music was outstanding!!!! Made the trip from Rhode Island centered around this cast. Came two years ago for my birthday to honor the spot and we had the time of our life ves. I went to the men’s room and one of the guys asked my girlfriend now wife if I knew I was the only straight guy in the place. I came here to celebrate gay culture and history. But never mind that, the place is fabulous and they make you feel like family!! Many thanks to G, T Rex, Sam, Danny and Lucas. Made our first anniversary so special!!!!!!

My wife and I came here on a Monday around 9pm and had a great time! Luke and KJ were our servers, and both were terrific human beings and phenomenal performers. We would recommend this place to anyone interested in a West Village piano bar - Luke is very kind and attentive, and will treat you right. Also, the drinks are very reasonably priced for the neighborhood.

The Duplex is my go to place when I want to just sit, have a good time and enjoy some music. It’s a great feeling to walk into a bar, feel genuinely welcomed and thoroughly entertained for the night. Tuesday’s are one of the highlights of my week. Stephen Murphy is sensational on the piano and vocals. The camaraderie between the entire staff is a blast. Maci and Bria are two of the main reasons the atmosphere is always enjoyable and fun. These ladies are incredible singers and work tirelessly throughout the night balancing the crowds. The Duplex may be a NYC destination spot for tourists but it’s nothing without the staff. The Duplex is the building but they are its heart.

Luke at the bar was extremely creepy and condescending to me and my friend, and made backhanded comments all night, specifically about the girls who got up and sang. I've loved Duplex for years, and have never been treated like such an inconvenience or made to feel like such a piece of meat.
Would love to return to this beautiful little bar, but won't be doing so until it stops employing predators.

A nice little neighborhood bar with a good atmosphere and live music and the ability to choose songs. The place only serves Coco Lim and beers and is full from the early evening hours. It's worth stopping by and having a drink before dinner. We really enjoyed it.
