A group of us dined at The Edge Harlem - a highly regarded establishment on historic Edgecombe Avenue.

Service: Excellent. Upon entering the restaurant, the hostess greeted us warmly. She was super friendly and walked us to our table even though we were waiting for two more people to join. The server was pleasant, attentive, patient, and answered any questions we had.

Ambiance: Excellent. I loved the vibe and the coziness of the restaurant. The décor was inviting with the exposed brick interior.

Food: Needs improvement in some areas. My dining experience was a bit disappointing. Delicious flavors; however, the overall presentation lacked visual appeal. For example: Perhaps I was expecting a glaze outside the whole fish; however, the salmon some individuals ordered had a glob of sauce on top; the vegetable pie I ordered had a soggy crust and the filling was gooey and did not seem as if it was set. The chocolate mousse was underwhelming in texture. The consistency reminded me of chocolate Jell-o pudding and it was unpalatable to finish.

In conclusion, the service was good; unfortunately, the food was mediocre and left much to be desired.

I had the Oxtails with Coconut Rice and Black Eye Peas as well as the Coconut Fried Fish with Sweet Plantains (I'm very greedy, lol)...and everything was perfect.
I'll be back next week to dine in, after observing the atmosphere while waiting for my take away. Great service.

Lamb burger!!!! Please get that, it’s not on the medium all the time but it’s the best dinner item they serve. Super nice servers, located in a nice area of Harlem, food is always good, but would like to see a little more exciting items on their menu.

This is an awesome restaurant. Definitely worth going too. The vegan burger with plantains were incredible. It was a first for me. The owner of this restaurant is a very nice lady. I am surprise to hear that there is a sister restaurant in East Harlem. Looking forward to visiting that location one day. We will be back soon.

Vegetarian options: There is a veggie burger with plantains which I recommend.

Honestly thought it was overrated. Service was good. Ambiance was good. Had the jerk chicken and waffle as they told me it was one of their most popular dishes. Found nothing special about it. Lacked flavor and personalization.

I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews but took a chance with fingers crossed 🤞. A very small space thankfully it was a Sunday so it wasn't crowded at all. We had 6 pm reservations and got seated as soon as my party of 4 arrived. Our server was prompt we ordered drinks ans appetizers. I ordered the house ginger bear "not too much ice" I was disappointed when our server returned with my glass 1/2 full, I inquired she responded that it was because I requested less ice that was a first in all my years if dining out. The codfish fritters were a bit too spicy and the crab cakes could've been better. For dinner I had the shrimp with coconut rice and sweet plantains which was ok. Although the atmosphere was nice and parking was a ease, it didn't make it to my list of top places to revisit.

Ordered the very tasty and fulfilling Jerk chicken & waffles, as well as the chocolate chip bread pudding. My server Mya, was amazing and attentive! Highly recommended if you're in the Harlem/Uptown area!!!

I went to the Edge eager to try a different style of Caribbean seafood in a cosy environment with my family. The environment was comfortable with around 12 tables and a full bar.

I ordered Jerk chicken wings a 6 pc small appetizer .Seafood pasta for the Mrs. with jerk chicken pasta for myself and a pitcher of rum punch.

The noodles In the seafood pasta were very undercooked with a crunchy texture when I told the waiter he wanted to have the kitchen remake it which would’ve been great, but the wait for the food at the moment was too long so I ate the dish. The following is my direct notes from this experience. The jerk chicken in the pasta was rubbery and the pasta was very bland and distasteful. For $100 dollars I named at least 25 different things I would rather do than eat “EDGE” food again.

I would not recommend this establishing I’m upset I received that type of bland noodles with baked chicken that had jerk oil seasoning hastily ran through to give it a glazed texture.

I wanted a Jamaican restaurant feel and got takeout energy in which Big fast food restaurants would’ve done better besides the health concerns.

My Wife enjoyed the muscles and shrimp in the seafood pasta. The rum punch was delicious.

I love The Edge! I’ve been here twice and both times the food was incredible. This time got a Lamb Burger for the first time and it was so yummy, the salad was nice and the fries were perfect. The staff are so nice, warm and accommodating. Their jerk chicken alfredo pasta is so good too. Definitely check them out!

I didn’t have the best experience today. It was almost like we got kicked out. I get it there’s a policy for brunch. Maybe ask if there’s anything else we would like to order or remind us of the time so we can move accordingly. Otherwise the food was great. I probably won’t be coming back here because of the service.
