Ordered a breakfast burrito in the middle of the work day. Service was poor; staff remained on their phone during the entire time I was ordering, and when I politely asked for details about an item on display, they did not provide any and told me to just read the sign. After waiting for over 20 minutes (there was not a single other customer during this time), I politely asked for an update, and they said they could not provide any as I guess they don't communicate with their kitchen downstairs. The burrito was fine, but for 20$ for a breakfast burrito I would expect at least half-way decent service, which I was not provided. I can't imagine what it's like when there's actually a line (which is most of the time). Suffice it to say, I don't plan on going back.

I ordered the maple oat latte it was lukewarm and just full of sugar, no balance. Overall pretty disappointing given the price point.

All those enthusiastic reviews were telling the truth about this place. The service quality impresses, and the food freshness and flavor satisfy. Their plates come loaded with plenty to eat. All workers approach customers with sincere warmth. Don't overlook this spot if you're in the vicinity.

I love this place and have for *years* but I just came in and saw that they were charging $1.00 for plant milk and it felt like a war crime. City standard is $.50 which is even funny bc if you’re getting organic milk it’s essentially same price. I really love this place and most of the staff but this just left a bad taste in my mouth

I hate the taste of coffee, but the cold brew iced with vanilla does what it needs to and taste great!

Stepping into THE ELK feels like walking into a beautifully curated cabin café. The decor is earthy and intentional, with a strong local and sustainable focus that extends to the menu. It’s a great spot for a relaxed breakfast or solo afternoon, with a quiet energy and friendly staff who make you feel right at home.
I tried the oat milk latte and a chia pudding cup, both of which were delicious and clearly made with care. The menu offers wholesome, seasonal options without feeling too fussy. It’s easy to see why THE ELK has become a favorite for locals it delivers charm, consistency, and quality in every visit.

I had the best lavender matcha here, I will try to recreate it but I totally recommend it. The matcha itself Isint sweetened but the syrup balances it out, so it wouldn’t be too sweet nor too bitter. The cafe is pretty small itself, yet super cozy. My order came out very quick. The only thing that I was disappointed in was that it was super expensive. I had to pay nearly 10 dollars for one matcha.
