Great coffee. Staff not friendly. No bathroom not inside seating!

They stop serving espresso drinks before they close. What’s the point of being a coffee shop if you don’t serve coffee drinks until closing time?

Great spot for coffee! Ordered a cortado, and it was perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was relaxed and not too crowded, making it a great place to enjoy a quiet coffee break. Will definitely be back!

Came here expecting a desire to repeat my visit but that won’t be happening. 2 girls at the cashier aren’t welcoming and speak so slowly in an arrogant way, it’s not pleasant or cool when there’s 0 eye contact and 0 smiles. They told me they don’t do seating anymore so that’s another reason to disregard the place. Lastly, the coffee is average at best.

The chicken salad wrap is absolutely disgusting.

The Elk is tucked away in a serene spot on Charles Street in the West Village, just west of 8th Avenue. It features a charming wooden outdoor seating area. The café offers a premium selection of local sandwiches, freshly brewed coffees, teas, mineral waters, and cold-pressed juices. Additionally, it provides vegan, gluten-free, and low-sugar baked treats sourced from Balthazar and various Brooklyn bakeries.

Coffee was okay but there is zero vibe inside and nowhere to wait for your coffee. Seems to be largely a take out business.

Expensive, even for NYC standards, not worth it. Coffee and bakery goods were ok, but they charged me $8.50 for a yoghurt.

Their seating covers the sidewalk stopping pedestrians from getting through - very annoying!

Overpriced. Abrasive staff. Also, if you are going to have no space for people to wait for their orders, at least call their names out so they know they are ready.

Really nice spot to take coffee, in the middle of a lovely neighborhood. I highly recommend their iced latte. Avoid rush hours, we waited a moment before having our takeaway order

nice place but they barely ever answer the phone which makes pick up orders a hassle since you can’t customize on the website

Wonderfully kind, food and drinks are top notch, dog loves saying hi to the staff and all the passersby. Easy 5 star coffee shop

Customer service is nonexistent at The Elk. The girl behind the register was sipping on her drink while chatting to her friend. No acknowledgment till I had to interrupt her. Average americano.
