Great spot for coffee! Ordered a cortado, and it was perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was relaxed and not too crowded, making it a great place to enjoy a quiet coffee break. Will definitely be back!
The Elk is tucked away in a serene spot on Charles Street in the West Village, just west of 8th Avenue. It features a charming wooden outdoor seating area. The café offers a premium selection of local sandwiches, freshly brewed coffees, teas, mineral waters, and cold-pressed juices. Additionally, it provides vegan, gluten-free, and low-sugar baked treats sourced from Balthazar and various Brooklyn bakeries.
I'm more of a deer guy myself but the ELK reminded me of the hunt.

Those long cold nights, looking for food, finding your food, and slaughtering it.

The rush I felt is a rush I miss. And the coffee of such a place can only partially restore my thirst. Close enough.
