Great place for late night classic American meals. I generally have a lumberjack or a cheeseburger deluxe. Service is fast and friendly. Booths are not for folks who are larger than average (which is typical for most diners)

But! Servers are super friendly. Water AND! Tea water refilled without asking. Orders came in a timely fashion...food was good...except [sorry] bacon- very thin, not particularly crispy. 3 strips on The burger.
But- yeah! What i wanted. Please note in photo added-jello should NOT be priced like Pie. It's jello! Hm.

I just got my delivery and was excellent. I love Flame diner.
Used to be a great diner. Good service, food terrible and they even charge for soda refills. My buffalo chicken wrap was so overcooked it was barely edible.

It's a diner, and they're open 24 hours. They are a reliable place to have a good meal. People are professionally courteous, I wouldn't say friendly. So as much as I've been here (weekly, for months) no one is trying to get to know me or anything. But they smile, serve and move onto the next customer. I'll take reliable and clean over a friendly owner/ manager/ server.

Came to NYC for appointment at 8am and found the Flame Diner open at 630am was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food was very good and order was delivered within 10mins.
