Wow.
These folks earned every star ✨

The SERVICE was consistently phenomenal from the time we walked up to the time we left.
There are few times I've had service this good.

The food was amazing too.
I tried the ever-popular Crispy Calamari appetizer and the Truffle Shuffle pizza.
Delicious! 🤤

The vibes were calm and welcoming, a warm and relaxing respite from an otherwise busy city. 😌
This restaurant is a part of an indoor collection of shops resting by the port.
There is a good view of the Brooklyn bridge from the other side of the building. 🌉

I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
Bring friends and family because they could use a little more love!

I had the pleasure of dining at Frenchman’s Dough inside the Tin Building this week, and I can’t stop thinking about how delicious everything was! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The open kitchen vibe added to the charm, making it feel like an immersive dining experience.

The food was absolutely amazing. The calamari is hands down the best I’ve had in NYC, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. It was light and flavorful, without being greasy at all. If you’re a fan of seafood, this dish alone is worth the visit!

But the real standout for me was the Truffle Shuffle pizza. The combination of rich truffle flavor with a perfectly crispy crust made each bite feel indulgent and satisfying. The flavors were balanced so well, and the toppings were fresh and high-quality, making it one of the most memorable pizzas I’ve had in a while.

I’ve been to the Tin Building multiple times, but this visit to Frenchman’s Dough really stood out. Whether you’re popping in for a casual meal or enjoying a special evening out, this place has it all: delicious food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommend it to anyone in the area or looking for a great dining experience in the Seaport!

Stopped by for a quick bite and got the lemon pizza and some drinks. The pizza is okay, the crust is very thin and it is sort of like a savory dessert.

Had dinner at Frenchman’s Dough after a colleague recommended the Tin Building. Great atmosphere both inside the Tin Building and around the area. Service was great from start to finish. Got a seat at the bar and was able to watch them stretch the dough and assemble the pizzas. A little dinner and a show action. Definitely recommend checking out when back in town.

I had an amazing experience at The Frenchman’s Dough! The calzone was absolutely delicious—perfectly baked with a crispy, golden crust and a rich, flavorful filling. It was easily one of the best I’ve ever had.

The service at the bar was just as impressive. Camilo took great care of me, providing friendly and attentive service that made the experience even better. His professionalism and hospitality truly stood out.

I can’t wait for the moment I can come back and enjoy another great dinner!

We took a long time to find the restaurant. GPS got us going in circles. We final figured out it was in the Tin Building!
The restaurant is really pretty. We went on a Monday night and didn't have reservations. (There were ppl walking thru the restaurant to go to the bathroom. I think there should be better signs so ppl can go around the other side instead of thru the restaurant. )
We ordered the burrata (delicious!! Highly recommend), shrimp linguini (super good), kids spaghetti (super good), and spicy sausage pizza (just ok. The pizza was too thin and it was a bit limp.). We're slightly disappointed with the pizza actually. I wonder if a different flavor would have been better. I'm not sure.
They give us way too many utensils. We already have forks on the table and with each plate, they give us more forks and spoons. Our table was overflowed with utensils and plates.
Service was good. Restaurant felt intimate. We didn't order dessert and when we walked around downstairs after dinner we found the bakery had the basque cheesecake (I wonder if it's the same one they serve at the restaurant ). We ended up getting a cookie from the bakery and they had a better selections of cakes.

The Frenchman’s Dough is located on the second floor of the Tin Building!

Got the mushroom pizza but forgot to take photos. Pretty good but pretty pricey. Plenty of seating on a Wednesday around 1pm. I think most restaurants in the Tin Building are pretty empty during lunch on weekdays. Service was solid, our servers were great.

Note that the restaurant is in the “open” part of the Tin Building, so depending on where you’re sitting, there could be lots of people walking by.

The squash appetizer was interesting, I’d recommend! I thought I was biting into a fried mozzarella stick (but it looks like an onion ring).

Fantastic service and great attention to our table. The aglio e olio is fantastic as is the bolognese

Frenchman’s Dough in NYC is a cozy haven for Italian comfort food lovers. Their handmade pasta is crafted to perfection, offering rich, authentic flavors that feel both elevated and homely. The wood-fired pizzas, topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients, are a must-try. With its warm atmosphere and attentive service, it’s an ideal spot for a satisfying and memorable meal in the city.

A very average restaurant. What stood out the most was how slow they were with everything—taking the order, bringing the food, bringing the check, taking the check away….🤷🏻‍♀️For example, after ordering, it took about 20 minutes for them to bring one of the dishes, and after that they brought the drinks! The next dish arrived another 10 minutes later. Overall, The prices didn’t match the quality of the food and I don’t recommend it.

My visit was on a quiet yet cold Sunday. It proved to be a perfect time to grab a table for two for lunch.
The staff was very professional and as usual the service was on point.

The only real issue we experienced was that the bread we ordered with our appetizer was served almost cold. It would have been so much better served warm or hot. That said, the Frenchman receives a 5 star review for utterly delicious food.

Our shared elections included fried calamari, fresh bread and oil dip, Ceasars salad, and branzino. We finished our meal with a Basque cheesecake and an affogato.

Highly recommended.

Not a bad place to try . Our favorite is the black truffle pizza.
