A ideal quiet spot in Midtown East in the late afternoon, probably the only one with all the construction going on Lexington Avenue outside, for a cordial business meeting for coffee or a glass of wine, with very welcomng and professional waiters.
Bummed it took me so long to check this place out ! Might just be my go to from now on . Love the large circular bar area and the dining room is fabulous as well . Very accessible to those who use a wheelchair or walker . Lovely calm atmosphere . Live jazz playing Wednesday nights from 6-8 pm . Not sure about the other nights but my hunch is there is . Extensive drink menu offering all sorts of whiskey, gin , wines and beers many other options including a fancy mocktail &...
Tucked into the lobby of the Intercontinental Barclay, the Parlour is a bar also serving a limited menu. The barmen are super skilled, ours was Jose, and know how to sling a cocktail. Their “Star Martini” is good, but was pricey at $23, G&T -21, Glass of Bordeaux - 18. Food was fine although that service was a little lacking especially as they were not busy. Worth a drink or two while waiting to go somewhere else if you are staying int he hotel.
