Great atmosphere and food. A west village gem. Try to get upstairs at a circular table!

5/5 A Delightful Experience at The Golden Swan! Absolutely loved our visit! The food was exceptional—each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ambiance was just as impressive!

Such an amazing experience! Love the variety of service options; Bar and Casual Dining or upstairs Formal Dining (where we were). There is even a special area on the top level that for up to 12 guests for special occasions. The food is unreal and has so much detail put in the the flavors of each entree. From the appetizers to the dessert they are something we will never forget and will come in town to come back to eat again. The chef has done a fabulous job with the menu and the ambience of the entire experience.

Came in with high hopes but largely left unimpressed.

Service was attentive and the shining highlight; the food and atmosphere left much to be desired.

Arrival was the first hiccup - took nearly 15 minutes to check in and required waiting outside given the small foyer. No reason or rationale was provided - perhaps because we were at opening?

We were seated in the lower level, which was odd and empty. The bar was pumping music - perhaps appropriate for when fully occupied, but in a sparsely populated setting, it was overbearing and intrusive. No hand soap to be had in the bathroom - not a disaster but another fly in the increasingly distressed ointment.

The food was hit or miss. The farafelle was delightful (albeit a tad too al dente for my liking) and the leek soup was a strong performer. The omelet (supposedly a star feature) was a complete and utter sad event. The Lobster was clearly not fresh, and the seasoning left you reaching for one’s water to allay the sodium content.

The pancake was terrific although contrarily the crab benedict left much to be desired. The crème brûlée tart offered for desert is best skipped.

You won’t be missing anything if you can’t attain a reservation here, and given the void that was downstairs, you should be able to walk in comfortably… at least for a Sunday brunch.

I love this place so much! It’s the kind of place that reminds me of all the gems that exist and give our city the dining buzz that it’s infamous for. The food is outstanding, the service infallible, and the vibe is 100% NYC.

West Village vibes with comfortable interior design and cosy seating - it was mostly a great experience especially since we walked in and the food was delicious (pancakes are some of the best I’ve had) with two notes. Firstly, I wish they told us on entry that they were not doing the iconic tableside omelette service that day - we only found out after we had already ordered a coffee. Secondly, we were awkwardly placed between a group of 8 people that were split into two tables who proceed to speak and almost shout over our table. While they managed the table and eventually moved them together, they didn’t really apologize or do anything with us which made it somewhat of a subpar experience.

Service was below average and no hospitality present. We expected more for Saturday night $300 dinner for two. Server had no knowledge of menu or desire to tell us about the menu. Disappointing.

This place is all IG hype, granted I only got to experience the Wallace Room, but the menu provided very few brunch options (and a $24 omelet could not be substituted with other ingredients), service was mediocre, and the place was cold (unheated on a raw rainy April day). The saving grace was the pancakes. All in all, not planning to return, and I could have made an omelette at home.

I got invited by a friend to dine with the golden swan and the experience was quite underwhelming. I’ve been before a few months back and it was totally opposite. The service was lackluster and it seemed like they had a whole new management staff which didn’t bring us that warm inviting energy that we’ve experienced with prior management. The food was consistent and our drinks were decent. I’ll probably return to sit downstairs where it’s more casual like a bar so I won’t have to deal with the service that’s upstairs in their dining room

Cavatelli is the best I’ve had. Great service, vibe, and cocktails!

Impromptu date night with the wife. Called up GS got a table at 7pm on a Thursday. Let me tell you the vibe was so good we didn’t want to leave. Food was excellent. Drinks were excellent. Service by James EXCELLENT. it’s the perfect date spot, music was good, crowd was great and a great place to enjoy good food or drinks. Only downside is we’re not fat asses and can’t order the whole menu. Will be back!

Met all of my expectations. Tried 3 different occasions: brunch with family, dinner with friends and a birthday dinner. Each visit was a positive one. Great parking. Great service. Ask for James the server. He’s my favorite. You won’t be disappointed.

Pro tip: for food, go for the truffle tagliolini.

Great vibe, and service was excellent by James. Not pretentious and low key while keeping high end and quality.

We have been big supporters of this place since they opened, but the front of the house experience is really going downhill. As locals, we even got a chance to come in before their soft opening as part of the soft opening. The is food still great, but there has been high turnover in front of the house management and it has really started to show. We felt like like they lost touch with the great customer service they had when they opened. Too many empty promises from the current team and to be quite honest, our last experience felt like we were just being flat out bilked rather than treated as guests. We had a 7:45 reservation and our server left 30minutes into service. Once she left, we essentially had no server. The result, a side we ordered with our entrees never came (timing a single side with a main-course should be par for the course). Not at all the experience we’ve had before and not at all the experience we expected that night. We would go back for cocktails, but I don’t think we’d ever have another full dinner there again, like we have since they opened, after this progressive decline in service and especially disappointing experience.
