Golden Swan in the West Village offers a high-end dining experience with intimate lighting and charm. While the service is polite and knowledgeable, the delays between drink and food orders can make the experience feel prolonged. The food is decent but overly salty, typical for new restaurants. For a better atmosphere, it’s recommended to sit downstairs for a more relaxed vibe, while upstairs feels more formal. Ps- The sticky toffee pudding was incredible.

Elegant restaurant in the old Spotted Pig space. First visit. Friendly and competent service, quite professional and crisp. Lovely room, great vibe. Was empty at 6 pm, full(ish) at 7:30/8. Menu is kinda old school but there is something for everyone, fish, burger, chicken, pork chop, a couple of pastas and some nice cold appetizers as well. We had the tagliolini and cavatelli as starters. The pastas were perfectly cooked and scrumptious. The Tagliolini was quite rich but treat yourself. We shared the Bronzino and the pork chop as our mains, very filling and also well cooked. The sticky toffee pudding was our shared dessert and it was really yummy.

Vegetarian options: Maybe a couple of appetizers

Dietary restrictions: Dishes were a bit salty and/or rich

Parking: West village is busy, not easy to park

Kid-friendliness: Brunch maybe but otherwise no

Wheelchair accessibility: Downstairs street level might be accessible but otherwise it’s upstairs

We came about a year ago and the food/service/ambiance was pretty good. We tried to come again but the experience was entirely different. First, we reserved a table in the dining room, but not only did they tried to seat us in the bar area, but also in the one minuscule table outside which seemed like it was put there as an afterthought. After asking for a table inside (even if it was at the bar area) they offered to move some patrons sitting at the bar so we could sit together. Not wanting to disturb the other guests, we decided to leave. The only good thing was that hostess was kind, but her manager was aggressive. Overall, very disappointing.

Top notch restaurant, the cocktails and food were delicious, including the sticky toffee pudding for dessert! In an era where great service is hard to come by, the whole staff made our experience excellent. The service goes above and beyond! Thank you!

This gem in West Village has become my go to venue for both personal and business meals (a favorite for the NYC REAL fashion lovers). They offer a very familial approach with patrons and the team always makes me feel like family. Matt & Nadine have orchestrated a beautiful, detailed venue coupled with a skilled team that consistently deliver a curated, lovely, memorable experience every visit. Chef Doug pours his passion and culinary artistry into every offering, keeping the menu familiar with classics while refreshing it with in-season rotations. Each offering is so meticulously created, it is a wonder that they all come from the same kitchen!

From Marquis and Doug, to Christina, James and Marcos - everyone makes this townhouse venue feel like an actual home away from home.

I really love this place. This cute little french cafe inspired restaurant is the latest addition to the west village food scene. Whether brunch or dinner, The Golden Swan doesn’t miss. Well executed menu, well seasoned, fresh, and perfectly cooked. I also really enjoyed the ambience of the place. Excellent service too.

The most exquisite townhouse vibe, covering the most European aesthetic & menu. Went for brunch & recommend them for their service, food and coziness.
I don't drink but found the menu to be interestingly extensive.
Reserve ahead ?

Beautiful decor, white table clothes, chic yet cozy atmosphere, very attentive and professional service BUT the food was a let down – good not spectacular. Despite most reviews raving about the duck I found it to be undercooked and not particularly tasty; would go with the Venison instead. The toffee desert is exquisite though.

Amazing service! Great cocktails.

We had TUNA CARPACCIO, DUCK TERRINE , ORESCENT DUCK, LAMB DUO, ROASTED CAULIFLOWER, and STICKY TOFFE PUDDING. My favorite was the ducks.

Our bartender was so friendly and made delicious cocktails. We adored her but sadly I cannot remember her name.

We shared some margaritas, an old fashioned, a Negroni, and a round of espresso martinis. All of which were a hit!

We did not try any food, but we wanted to because the kitchen was putting out dishes that kept our heads turning. I might need a massage after.

We would totally go back here and hangout anytime.
