Great choice in menu. Servings were generous so the 3 of us shared 2 starters and 2 mains. Excellent service
We've been going here for probably 15 years at this point and, outside of one specific occasion, it's been a great experience every time. The food and service are consistently quality.
Unfortunately the immediate area can be a bit scary and there was an incident where a few young men were setting out to cause trouble by standing outside and taunting customers sitting near the window. My group ignored them but two guys rushed out and there was a violent incident just outside. The young men fled and I'm not sure if the NYPD got them but I noticed employees watching the unfolding events from inside, they looked concerned but not surprised.
Main courss came very late after several reminders. Tip already included for no real service with 20%.
We love Greek Kitchen -- good Greek good and good service, a lovely quiet atmosphere in which you can hear each other easily, and wonderful value. This gem of a restaurant is a 10-minute walk from Lincoln Center, so a great place for pre-theater dining.
Good, basic Greek restaurant. It was enjoyable. The restaurant is too bright for dinner and it felt like a lunch place more so than dinner.
We had a wonderful meal at The Greek Kitchen. Delicious food and friendly, extremely competent service. Our server was thoughtful enough to ask about food allergies and made suggestions accordingly. She also asked if we had theater tickets or some other time sensitive commitment so the kitchen could accommodate, which they did. She also held the food ordered for a late arrival in our party so it would freak when they arrived! Excellent service together with excellent food.
I wish the waiter would have listed the prices for the specials. When I asked him to do so he advised what the cost was of one thing and wasn't sure about the rest
Excellent food, though the baklava seemed to have started out frozen. But authentic flavors! Best horiatiki.
We were seven and the service and food were excellent. Great place to go with large group.

I ordered the Easter special roast lamb. It arrived as a bunch of gray/brown chunks of meat dumped on the plate with an equally unappetizing serving of rice. My friends orders were equally unappealing. I've never seen such unpleasant looking food served in a restaurant. Not even a sprig of parsley for garnish.
The Greek Kitchen is a neighborhood gem that is also a "destination restaurant" should you find yourself in the nabe or in need of a great, affordable, lovely restaurant within walking distance of Lincoln Center. The food was great, the ambience wonderful, and the prices are beyond reasonable. I will definitely be coming back (and I live nowhere near The Greek Kitchen!)
Had a great lunch there today. A little noisy as there were several large groups. Always enjoy dining there!
Great casual Greek fare located close to Columbus Circle. We ordered the spanokopita to start, a savory Greek pie, to start followed by the pork chop with orzo and the pasticcio. The pork chop is a must have, bursting with flavor and savory juices. I recommend the pasticcio to those wanting to try a Greek twist on an Italian classic. Would go again, great value and nice ambience.
A neighborhood gem and a rarity in this area. Unusually not too noisy, even when almost full. Service was excellent and the food very good.
