What a cool “drinking bar”. There are 2 bars in 2 rooms with a huge selection of liquor. TV for sports and typical bar food. You aren’t here for the food. You go to hang out with friends, share a pint and lots of laughs with the Bartender. It is one of the best neighborhood bars I have been to in the City. A little out of the way so you probably need to live in the area but well worth visiting. Dogs are allowed inside which is a bonus. Prices are also reasonable for NYC....
Place is nice good drinks and nice people but loud! Loud music and loud people. Not good for conversation but good for drinking. Had TV's for games and food. We just had some app's. Chicken wings and hummus. both were good. Place is lively and filled with attractive millennials!
We were staying next door for a 9 day holiday from the UK. Not the first time in New York so knew our way around. Didn't need to go far to get to The Globe! Ended up eating there 3 nights and beers/wine on a couple of other nights. Good standard of food and drink (no wine list though the wines available were more than adequate). Staff very friendly and capable - Keith (the manager) was especially friendly and helpful - good having someone with character and a sense of humour...
