This place is definitely a gem in the neighborhood. Chipotle and those other fast food places are becoming a bit dull so this place is a nice change from the repetition. Got a bowl with lamb/beef, some mixed veggies and fries, and some semi spicy rich sauce which brought it all together.
I also tried their spinach pie which was a nice first as well. Then washed it all down with their home made green mountain tea (a lot of sugar in it but tasted amazing, worth coming and trying out.

WOW What an experience with the customer service from Rob, Chris & the rest of team OPA!!! They guided me as it was my first time there. The food was 100/10 beyond delicious! Highly recommended & now it’s one of my favorite go to spot in NYC!!! Can’t wait to go back :)

This was the best gyro I’ve had in a while. Chicken kebab was so tender, fresh and juicy. French fries were crispy, tzatziki sauce was on the money. Flavorful and fresh. The Greek mountain tea was refreshing and not too tangy and not too sweet. Their chocolate chip cookie was 10/10! Full of chocolate chunks and chips, crispy on the edges and soft and dense in the middle. I was in heaven having this meal. Love the presentation! Staff were so nice and so was the owner. It’s aesthetically beautiful in here and clean. So many options to choose from and I will be back!

While the atmosphere is good, the service is average, and the food is actually below average.
The restaurant itself has decent seating in the back, and you go to the counter and order your food in a Chipotle-esque style.
Service is average, nothing that great. The employee did not seem happy to be there.
The main issue is that the food is below average. First of all, for the price you pay, you would think they would allow you to have more than two toppings on your bowl. However, they have strict rules, and do not let you get more than two toppings after you have your base and protein.
For the base, they only give you a small scoop of rice that takes up about 1/20 of the entire container. The mixed greens are actually pretty good though. The real issue came with the chicken shawarma. It is extremely dry and tough to even chew. You will actually choke on it from how dry it is. The flavor is also very mild.
I did like the few lemon potatoes and french fries that were in the bowl. The tzatziki sauce and the baba ghanoush are both pretty good dips as well as a finish. But for $16 plus tax and tip (so $20+), they really need to allow more free toppings per bowl that have marginal costs to the business like tomatoes and cucumbers.
I also tried the spanakopita (spinach pie) which was very OK. Nothing exciting, nothing bad. But for nine dollars, I did expect a little more out of it.
I am unsure how to feel about this restaurant chain’s gimmicky point system. Every dollar is one point according to the employee, so you have to spend $100 to get a free soda, and it goes all the way up to spending $10,000 to get a one-way ticket to Greece. Depending on the time of year, you can get one-way tickets to Greece for under $350 if you book with an airline directly.
Either way, I’m sure it will attract some people to their program.
Overall, I think the food really missed the mark, and the customization is quite limited.

Special shout out to the guy behind the counter making my bowl (I didnt get his name). He was so patient and kind, really taking the time to explain what I could pick every time we moved on to the next part of choosing and now I remember everything you can get for the bowl - rice, greek salad, protein, two sides, and two dips with pita bread. This place also has some seating in the front and more in the back as well.

the owner was really nice and the staff were super friendly. it was my first time ordering from a gyro spot and the menu was easy to understand. i got the chicken and rice bowl and a blueberry cookie. the location is super convenient since it’s right next to macy’s, so it’s a great place to grab lunch if you’re in the area. the bowl was really filling and i liked that you can choose your own meat, toppings, and sauces.

Grabbed the Beef & Lamb Gyro Bowl on MealPal, and I'm obsessed. Tender beef and lamb, tangy feta, plus that perfectly savory baba ganoush—TheGyroProject knows flavor!

Solid. On all levels of food.
Pricey for a daily work lunch. Bowls will run you > $18, no drinks. A gyro sandwich ^ of $16, no drink.
The lamb/ beef option is solid. Flavor, not too dry.
Sauces- solid. The Taziki sauce is a winner. Harissa sauce is not hot.
Vegetable tastes fresh, they seem like they were cut on premises.
Service was very friendly, especially for midtown and very efficient for being newly open. TBD in a few months.
