Personally, I don’t understand why the Halal guys is famous. Because when I tried one in New York City and had two strong spices so for me it was worst food I’ve ever tried

Today is March 18 2025. And it's my second time eating at the halal guys . Guys save your money ,go alse where. There is nothing that would make me recommend this place to anyone. The taste is nothing to Bragg about. Rice is dry. Meat serving is next to nothing. And the tray is half filled with salad. Like I said save your money and go alse where. These people just have a popular name and what's what attract customers. Try a real halal place in Jackson heights. Everything is better and you'll have leftovers to bring home

I had high expectations for The Halal Guys, but my experience was really disappointing. First off, the food quality was not great—the chicken was dry, the rice lacked flavor, and the white sauce tasted different from what I remember. To top it off, the restaurant wasn’t very clean. Tables were messy, and the floor looked like it hadn’t been swept in a while.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. For the price, you can find much better halal food elsewhere. Definitely not worth the hype!
I mean, should I say anymore that white sauce alone needs a Michelin star not only five star from here. And the surfers was amazing. People were smiling talkative, engaging. I highly recommend this place.

Restaurantji Recommends
The chicken tastes horrible, honestly. The falafel is okay. Wouldn't recommend the baclava as it's not very fresh and the container leaked and made the table sticky. The white sauce is pretty good, but sadly can't make up for the complete lack of flavor on the chicken. Definitely way better halal food for pretty much the same price elsewhere.
Honestly would've rated it 3 stars based on the falafel and baclava, but the chicken was so bad I had to rate it lower.

It seems to be a place with good word of mouth for its cost-effectiveness.
It's winter and it's cold, so there's no place to eat outside.
Even though it was late at 9:30 after the musical ended,
There are about 5 people in line.
It was cold as I was making the order and making it..it was the strongest cold weather that day..
The service is not so good...
I think it's worth eating at least once for its cost-effectiveness.
It's better than Korean Halal Guys.
