Went here for breakfast before the Knicks game as this is very close to MSG. Nice experience and a very nice menu for breakfast/brunch. Place was packed, but the staff made everything smooth. Would recommend if you are looking for a nice place near Harold Square.
The Harold is a gem in the 34th street-Herald Square area. Whether you visit for just drinks or a complete meal, it's a great spot for affordable quality dining at all times of the day.
Everything was great , we were a party of 8. I was impressed with the staff, they seated us immediately, the waiter was efficient and quick. The food was delicious. And the noise level was quiet enough so I could hear everyone at our table. I will return.
In a fun location, but food is nothing to write home about and service wasn't either. But if you want a quick bite instead of waiting in line for some solid food, not a bad option!

I highly recommend the mushroom scramble. The rosemary eggs were also very good. Meh coffee. Fun cocktail options.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at The Harold. Waitstaff were exceptionally friendly and prompt, menu options and the quality of food were superb, and prices perfect (better in a good way) . The only minor issue was that at times, the music was just a tad too loud that it was difficult for us to hear one another. However, it was the only compliant for in otherwise exceptional dining experience.
You can tell this place used to be great. It feels like one of those Gordon Ramsay Kitchen Nightmares' restaurants before it really spirals out of control. The pasta was watery and bland, all of the veggies were barely cooked, and the pita was stale. The dips were flavorful but not very visually appealing.

French onion soup was fabulous. Waiter misunderstood order & only brought one. Waited awhile for a 2nd one. Tables are VERY close together. You have so scoot a table over to get in the booth side & hit the people next to you.
I was with my mom and we randomly discovered this bistro. Our first impression was so good and the food was so delicious that we came 3 times on a four-day trip. Warm welcome, friendly place, tasty food. In short, a successful discovery. We recommend it !!!

We picked The Harold to meet people for brunch on Sunday who were heading out of Penn Station/Moynihan Station at 2pm. Was perfect. Good food - nothing extra special but all were satisfied. Very good service. Not too noisy - we easily heard one another but we were tucked away in a corner table so that might have been a factor. Coffee fill ups without asking. Definitely will return.
Amazing atmosphere and great place
