Stopped here to meet a friend for a beer last Thursday. It was about 5-5:30 and it’s midtown so of course it’s gonna be busy. The gentleman working behind the bar was probably the surliest bartender I’ve ever come across in my entire drinking career. I thought maybe he had an issue with me, but judging by his interactions with other patrons, I wasn’t taking it personally! I won’t be going back there as there’s a million other pubs/bars in the city. Should’ve just gone to my regular spot on 39th street. ?♂️Live and learn!

We stopped in for dinner near our hotel and were pleasantly surprised. Quick service despite busy,noisy atmosphere. Although the bar was large and centre the food was not average pub food. Crispy fish and chips and a steak sandwich served in a light airy bread. Definately worth it!

It was Tuesday only one bartender was staffed obviously overworked. She asked for my drink order three times. I ordered the shepherds pie. It came out extra blistered on top which meant it was burnt black and inedible. The only place in several blocks to claim to use lamb in their shepherds pie, but there is no hint of it. I don’t live in New York and I don’t know if you can challenge menu ingredients, but I would say that this is just ground beef, canned peas, and burnt mashed potatoes. Even their own signage highly recommends you check out their sister bar across the street which I didn’t do but maybe give that a try instead..

A classic pub in the city with the usual menu suspects on there. A variety of drinks on tap as well as bottles and draught soda. It is trying to be an English Pub which the décor and menu are very typical and somewhat traditional of this. However, that does make it overpriced for the type of food it is, however it is in New York City so typical tourist prices. We had the Fish & Chips and Pasta Primavera, which were fine, but nothing stands out about them. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was quick to be served which are bonuses.
Food was just ok. Service was great though. Shout out to our waitress with the black hair with bangs
