I only ordered sashimi for $52, beer, and sake.
When I entered the store at the time, there were only 5 people in the store, but the clerk never came to take my order, so I went to the clerk both times to place my order.
The sashimi was frozen and could not be described as delicious. I ordered the most expensive sashimi, but only three types came out: yellowtail, salmon, and scallop. It didn't taste good so I left it right away.

Only reviewing the burger event. It’s your standard hand formed bar patty, but in a tuxedo. The beef is so mild that the two burger sauces completely mask its taste. Looks great, but thats it. A 40 minute wait for a burger is also wild. Unless you have a reservation skip it. This review does not represent the bar.

This is easily the best katsu sando I've had outside Japan - everything from the pork cut, sandwich size, breading, and frying technique was on point.
This place was great the prior two visits. I had high hopes this evening but was really disappointed with the food. The fried chicken, miso eggplant, and even the edamame were overly salty…. Almost too salty to eat. The fried rice was overly sweet. Only the agedashi tofu and one of the pickled appetizers were very good. Not sure what happened. Was the regular chef out this evening? Sadly, a disappointment like this will make me think twice before coming back. It’s a shame. I thought it might be the kind of restaurant I visited regularly. Inconsistency like this is deadly for a restaurant.

Immaculate vibes, great for a first date or group of 4 - 5 or if you want to treat yourself to dinner. Murasaki butterfly remains my favorite cocktail to this day, and you can’t go wrong with any item on their menu but the sukiyaki and sake clams vongole are my personal favorites. Staff are also really friendly and put a lot of effort into making the Izakaya great!

There is are so many delicious Izakaya in NYC, and this is not one of them. Everything ordered was very crudely prepared, and INSANELY expensive, especially for what is normally a very cheap style of meal.Cabbage was oversalted, Katsu Sando was overpowered by mustard and the Curry bowl was just mid (for $30). Even at 4.4 stars this place is crazy overrated, do not waste your money here and just go to NONONO or Kenka.
