I wish I had knew about the rat invasion. That is my fault for not scrolling more for the reviews before going here. Me and my friend went here during the day and we did not see any rats but it could be because we were there during the day…the food was good but now it’s making me second guess if I was eating rats or something….The Grade A is false advertising…at first I was thinking of coming back but because of all the reviews I will not. Please scroll more for more reviews before coming here.

My husband and I are in NYC on March 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th 2025 While walking by the Jin restaurant at nightand we thought we seen something so we stopped and watched and what did we see ? We seen rats running around in there by the tables it was crazy. It shows their health grade as A and so I went to the health department website and they also had rats 2 years ago. Fair warning rats carry diseases, think twice b4 eating there.I have a short video with the RODENTS.

Owner is very rude and doesn't care about his restaurant having a rat infestation.

Unless you like rats running around all over the kitchen I wouldn’t eat here. Also the owner is rude.

I wasn't sure I would post this photo of live rat running around inside (floor, counter, trash) but I care about people's health and my neighborhood. The restaurant has had evidence of live rats in establishment before at an inspection, and they have not fixed the problem. Yes, I did report to the health department

I asked for specific flavors when I ordered half and half chicken wings, but the restaurant gave us spicy and soy garlic. After the fact, I asked what happened and they only apologized for not letting us know and didn't try anything to make it right. Horrible customer experience.
The spicy wings weren't really spicy, just a lot of pepper. Also kind of dry, would not recommend. The soy garlic was ok for first few bites but got sick of it pretty quickly. The cheese tteokbokki was pretty decent. Overall, would not eat again here.

At 6:45 PM today January 16, 2025 my boyfriend and I went to The Jin, a restaurant on 10th Ave. in Midtown Manhattan. Simon, the manager, refused us service due to having a psychiatric service dog, whose task is to perform tactile stimulation on me. I have PTSD from religious trauma and being rejected by my parents for being queer. The Jin refused me service and said they would call the police if we did not leave. This is the second time this has happened at this restaurant. I eventually left with my boyfriend, feeling embarrassed, humiliated and traumatized by the entire experience.

They have the worst service staffs ever, all the good staffs who used to work there before are all gone. Be aware!! Dont expect good service you used to get before. You will leave with the most unpleasant feelings ever. It was my worst decision to come here and i regret it so bad

I came here on Dec 27th, looking to grab dinner with my brother. All seems well with us deciding at last minute to not eat in store and have the meal to go. The lady was kind enough to set our order to go. Then there was a guy who rung my brother and I up for our meal.
There seemed to be an issue with splitting the pay on their end and we had no issues with waiting. But the way the guy handled it with an attitude was a bit shocking. It felt a little micro aggressive.
My brother asked about alcoholic beverages since we’d have to wait in the meantime… the guy told us no. My brother hasn’t been to many korean restaurants and isn’t too informative on korean drinks. But to say there’s no alcoholic beverages with a cocktail menu and refrigerator with soju and beer behind him is absolutely disappointing.
It’s New York City. To have a Korean restaurant in midtown with rude staff especially towards young AA people is very shameful.
I will not be buying from this restaurant again.

Rejecting a service dog in a restaurant in NYC is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). W42st 🙁
