Lunch on New Year’s Day. My wife ordered duck Mandooguk for good luck and I ordered Dobdol Bibimbop. Both dishes were very tasty. They give you lots of delicious small dishes to start. It is a really busy place. BBQ is mainly upstairs but there was a long waiting list. We ate downstairs where it is very crowded with tables close together. Not much atmosphere but the food is delicious.

I visited this restaurant while traveling in New York with my parents.
We ordered kimchi jjigae, galbitang, and bibimbap, and everything was so delicious!
I think it’s a great place to visit if you’re craving Korean food in Ktown, New York.
The atmosphere was clean and pleasant, and the staff were very friendly.
Since they also serve Korean BBQ, I’d love to come back in the evening next time to try it.

One of my favorite Korean spots in NYC. I’ve been here a few times, both with friends and alone. The food is always flavorful and comes out fast. It’s usually busy, so seating on the first floor can feel a bit tight. If you can, ask for a table upstairs -it’s more comfortable and spacious.
The kimchi is honestly the best I’ve had in the city. You can even order it to-go, and it’s way better than any store-bought version. We had the Korean BBQ with tender beef, and it was delicious. The banchan )small side dishes that come with your meal) are a real highlight. They’re fresh, varied, and the best part is they refill them for free when you finish. It feels generous and thoughtful.
The staff is kind and helpful. One of the servers explained the soju options and gave great recommendations. Prices are reasonable, and overall it’s just a great place to enjoy authentic Korean food.

Found metal in our meat from a grill brush. Could have killed me. Thankfully I was able to spit it out before I swallowed. Had shared the dish with my toddler and it could have killed him. Can’t believe anyone is still using metal grill brushes - this restaurant should have enough sense to stop using them.
I really loved the LA Galbi. Best galbi in NYC! Bibimbap, kimchi jeon, and the doenjang soup were also good. The service was awesome too! 감사합니다🙏

It's not that crowded, but the food is authentic and delicious! The service is also fast. Highly recommend: LA Galbi. My korean friend said that the Galbi is very good even compared to the Galbi in Kore. The kimchi pancake is also a good one!

I visited this place several times during my trip because of the excellent service and high-quality food. The staff on the first floor were very friendly and attentive, regularly checking in to make sure I had everything I needed. Even though I dined alone, I felt very comfortable and well taken care of throughout my meal.

Tried the veg japchae, kimchi pancakes, and kimchi fried rice and honestly, I loved all three! 😍
The kimchi fried rice was hands down the best I’ve had so far definitely my personal favorite.
And the kimchi pancakes? So flavorful and crispy, easily one of my top faves too. And not to forget, all the banchan (side dishes) were so tasty they really completed the meal. Highly recommend if you’re into bold, comforting Korean flavors! 🇰🇷✨

We have been to kunjip maybe 30-40 times in past few years and it has never disappointed. Been here first with some Korean friends who took us and mentioned it’s an authentic experience, which is true and makes the place special. It’s not fancy place and simple one but clean and good food which is most important. We always like their japche noodles, pancake, budge chigae, beef broth chigae, bimimbob. Sorry for all the spelling mistakes, but you know what I mean. We also love their side dishes which come complimentary at beginning of meal. One thing- or sure why they stopped giving the tasty steamed egg as a complimentary starter which now only is for bbq customers- found that bit bad way to treat regular customers. Also some of the other complimentary starters are now downgraded also to cheaper stuff. So I took off one star in service for all this “cheapness” let’s say. We used to give a high tip anyway due to all the extras in past and it was nice perk but anyway rest of dishes are tasty still. It’s $25 per person if you don’t get any alcohol.
