The food was quite good. But be carefull of your bill. They added extra tip if you pay card. We left a tip but the next day we were extra tip charge. Pathetic :/

Stopped by for a light dinner and the place was still busy even a bit past weekday dinner time. We ordered the Deon Jang and Soon Doo Boo, both were flavorful, well balanced, and not too salty. The side dishes were great, and we also received complimentary steamed egg during the meal and sujeonggwa afterward, which was a nice touch. Overall a very satisfying experience, though it would have been even better if they offered a military discount.

There is one middle age lady with ponytail. Super rude and not welcoming. It’s like she is in her menopause and everyone is her enemy. Below poor attitude. Rude ! Food was ok and the other servers seem to be a bit better. But this middle age pony tail woman shouldn’t work if she hates it so much. I wouldn’t spend money to get this attitude. Just thinking about it makes me mad that woman I ordered a lot and spent over 60$ and really felt like not tipping but at the end still gave 18%. I think I should have gotten 25% tips for being treated so badly and making me lost appetite

I had a terrible dining experience here and will definitely not be returning.
• Hygiene Issue: The most disgusting part was finding visible hairs still on the jokbal (pig's feet). It was poorly cleaned and very unappetizing.
• Poor Food Quality: Even ignoring the hairs, the jokbal was only seasoned on the skin; the meat inside was completely bland. The ox bone soup was extremely greasy with zero flavor, while the black bean side dish was incredibly salty. The seasoning here is a disaster—it’s either way too salty or has no taste at all.
• Terrible Atmosphere: We were seated near the entrance with a massive draft. It was freezing cold, and despite telling the staff 4 or 5 times, they did nothing to help. We were shivering the entire meal.
• Lacking Service: I had to ask for a side dish four separate times before they finally brought out just one.
Highly NOT recommended. Between the poor service, the freezing environment, and the hairs on the food, this place is a hard pass.

Been coming here for a few times in the past 3 years. Very Korean place. All staffs are super warm and nice. Great hospitality the moment you step in. Servers go beyond to make sure guests are enjoying. Food is tasty, authentic and large portion. Great selection of appetizers (free, included in every meal) and keep on coming. I have always been ordering LA Galbi. Beef is well marinated, tender, juicy and perfect temperature. Naenmyan is al dente. Make sure you add the mustard sauce and white vinegar to taste — important to get a kick. Pick a few simple words in Korean will take your visit more interactive.

Excellent location, cozy ambiance and the most delectable Korean delicacies make this one of our favorite stops in the city. Everyone is super kind and attentive, little respite in the middle of city chaos. We will be back soon! 10/10.

The Kunjip, located in Manhattan’s Koreatown, is a place where you can truly experience authentic Korean food in New York. It’s one of my favorite spots. I go there at least twice a week. The lunch menu offers a great variety, and the BBQ in the evening is absolutely delicious. Above all, the owner is very generous, and I often receive complimentary service. If you’re craving Korean food, don’t hesitate. Just go to Kunjip!
