There’s a wait depending on when you go. It’s not a place that’s is so uniquely excellent that I recommend waiting for but it is certainly a place that if you luck out and there’s no wait, you take advantage. The martini and the burger are well made and at fair price points for NYC. Simple things that many places just don’t do well.

Recommended order & timing to maximize your experience:

Start with a gin martini.
Mortadella to kick off the food. The sourness of the blue cheese and pickled peppers is a nice prep for the heavier burger. Pairs well with a light beer.
Burger with fries. I liked it with a Guinness but my boyfriend preferred to stick with a lighter beer.
Finish off with a tuna melt if you are still hungry or just wanna pig out. It’s not mind blowing but it is good and not too heavy that you go into a food coma.

I come here all the time for the cheeseburger and fries—it’s hands down the best burger I’ve ever had. Always cooked to perfection with a great bun, and it digests well since they blend it fresh daily. The lemonade, Caesar salad, and fried mozzarella are also amazing. Servers and bartenders are super cool and sweet. Love this place—it hits every time.

A nice bar with a classic burger. Juicy and well executed. I was able to get a table without a reservation but make sure to drop early because it’s quite popular. Service is fast and friendly. It’s a bar with music and ideal to hang out with a group. Prices are good for the burger

I got there about 5 minutes before opening. The waitress was still setting up the tables. As soon as 4pm came she took me in and asked where I wanted to be seated. Upon seating she asked if I knew what I wanted and I ordered the happy hour mozarella cheese triangles (those come with 2 instead of 4). I tried to order the happy hour martini, but I guess she didn't hear me and I was charged for the full price. My martini consisted of vodka and some olive juice with an actual olive. I got a medium well dry aged burger with fries (which is a $4 upcharge). The burger comes with pickles, onions and cheese with very coarse salt on top of the cheese. The pickles are placed separately from the burger. You will have to order ketchup or mustard as the burger doesn't come with it. My bun was sesame seeded but also the top bun had the middle of it dug out. I took that to be intentional for the pickles or maybe the ketchup. The fries were really good. The water tasted like tap water and probably was. I took the cheesecake home and was surprised that it costed me $10 for that small slice. Overall, the burger, fries, mozarella and martini were really good. I haven't tried the cheesecake, but it looks good. The waitress was attentive to everyone there. She was also friendly.

The best burger from East Village. An awesome atmosphere, vibrant and cool. Also, the draft lager combined with the burger is just the perfect combo. Should be on everyones list.

I was a little surprised to see Ray's Pizza not in this location anymore, but this is a nice replacement. Great burger, beet, staff, and atmosphere! Upwards and onwards.

Walked in during Friday night dinner rush and was able to snag a table for 2 outside. A great place to grab dinner on the beginnings of a St. Marks bar crawl. Had the classic girl dinner: fries, Caesar salad, and a dirty martini. Caesar salad exceeded my expectations -- crisp lettuce and a nice thick, yet refreshing, dressing. Fries were also good but NO RANCH (?). Martini did the job.
