Good fast lunch spot. Usually in and out within a few minutes for takeout. The employees have been very kind and efficient each time I’ve gone in.

$15 for basically two-thirds of a lunch. Nah. Nope. Next.

Discovering The Little beet was a happy accident that left me wanting more. So I returned recently for round 2.The good: I focused on the chefs soup bowl, a mix of herbed basmati, dark meat chicken, and sautéed greens doused in a butternut squash soup (that becomes much more a sauce than a soup) garnished with a swirl of chimichurri. It’s honest and healthy and a great combination of flavors, with one exception. Certain foods (like beets!) are polarizing. Raisins are another and should always be made optional. Unfortunately they are sautéed into the greens and provide an unwelcome punctuation of sweetness in an otherwise harmonious spectrum of flavors.Needs work: While on my first visit I was served by a welcoming, friendly, and informative server, today, just after opening (and as is often the case, nowowdays) there was zero hospitality on the menu. Upon entering the nearly empty store, not one of three or four employees looked in my direction. There was neither a smile nor a single word spoken by the server (unless one considers a chin nod akin to a “what’s up bro?” as a proper greeting) until I asked for no raisins. The stools at the window bar are so low you’ll think you’re at a children’s table. And finally, the to-go bags are perfectly sized to unsettle the lid on their soggy, compostable bowls, meaning by the time I got home, most of my lunch was spilled at the bottom of the bag, negating the save-some-for-later value of the hearty portion, as I dumped the dripping mess into the trash.I will probably return based on the flavor. But there are some rough edges this store and brand need to address before The Little Beet becomes a go-to for a $20 lunch.

Stale, overcooked food.

Friendly service and clean atmosphere with some good vegetarian options. We ate towards the end of the day and the ingredients seemed a little tired, so I'd recommend going during the day when I expect the turnover is fresher.

Had eaten at a different location during my last visit to NYC and was so impressed with the Beet Falafel bowl that I had to order it again for lunch during my work trip. It was as good as I remembered it. The choice of ingredients are not something that I would think of (black beans, broccoli, and falafel), but they make a very tasty combo, especially with the turmeric tahini sauce and the beet hummus that comes with it. This is one I’ll have to attempt to make at home since I don’t know when I’ll be back to NYC. Being gluten and dairy free, this was a convenient, quick, and reasonably priced option for lunch during a busy week. Highly recommend it!Dietary restrictions: Entirely gluten free with dairy free/vegan options

Taste was okay, asked for the price of an extra thing they told me “$3 dollars” ended up being $6. Paid $25 for a meal that didn’t fill me up. Rip off. Could’ve gotten a much cheaper and better lunch literally at any other fast casual option.

Nice place with healthy food. The service was good and there are lots of place to sit. The portions are small relatively, but prices are low.

The food is hit or miss. I’ve been in a few times which usually goes better than delivery. Be careful if you order via Uber Eats. Little Beet will not honor (and don’t care about) your order. The rice in the basmati bowl is very al dente. We asked for cutlery - didn’t get any. We order three sauces - it came with two. We also ordered a chocolate chip cookie and they swapped it out for a coconut macaroon… When we called to inquire about the switch they said they were all out so they just gave us what they had. We notified them of our coconut allergy and asked if we could have something else and we were told that we’d have to go back to the restaurant to pick it up. But generally the guy on the phone didn’t care.50/50 - but definitely dine in for better odds.

Food allergy friendly place with delicious and relatively healthy food at a reasonable price. No wonder why this place has many customers and surrounding establishments don’t. I recommend giving them a try!

My recent visit to Little Beet left me with mixed feelings. The Shrimp Bowl I ordered was undeniably delicious, but it left me craving for a little more substance. The atmosphere at Little Beet is refreshing, with an emphasis on fresh, healthy eating. The restaurant's ambiance and modern decor create a bright and inviting space for diners who appreciate clean and nutritious meals. The Shrimp Bowl I ordered was a culinary delight. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, and the accompanying ingredients were fresh and well-prepared. The combination of flavors was a pleasing experience for my taste buds. However, the one drawback was the portion size and the overall lightness of the dish. While the focus on health and balance is commendable, I couldn't help but wish for a heartier meal, especially considering the shrimp bowl's relatively light composition. The staff at Little Beet are friendly and attentive, ensuring that the dining experience is pleasant and accommodating to specific dietary preferences. In summary, Little Beet is a 4-star destination for those seeking fresh and wholesome dining options. The Shrimp Bowl, while yummy, may leave some diners wanting more in terms of portion size and heartiness. If you're looking for a light and health-conscious meal, Little Beet is an excellent choice. However, if you're seeking a more substantial dining experience, you might want to explore other options. I look forward to returning and sampling more of their health-focused menu items, but with a keen awareness of their lighter approach to dining.
