Very cozy lounge/bar area inside the ludlow hotel. Came here after dinner to get dessert and a drink. The lemon tart paired very well with the espresso martini. Our server, ?Colleen, was very hospitable!

I have given this lobby bar so many chances and it continues to fail. I live in the neighborhood and love to stop in here to the cozy lobby bar - I consistently send my parents here to stay when they visit, however, this 3 strikes and you’re out. Don’t bother going here unless you’re a vip hotel guest. I waited around for 10 minutes to get noticed and was then directed to a hotel guest table and then when I ordered told I couldn’t sit there. The waitress was extremely unaccomodating and unfortunately this is 3rd time this has happened to my husband and I when we come here - we get told by one waitress we can sit at the table then get told no. Extremely unprofessional service and team here. Last time we will be here and no longer sending guests here.

This review is for the lobby bar not the hotel - I live in the neighborhood and this spot is so extremely unaccommodating and rude to anyone that isn't a hotel guest in the bar. My husband and I have tried 3 times now to go in and have a drink in the bar and always got tossed around by the staff of where to sit and today we got sat by the fireplace by a staff member and then told by another they wouldn't serve us since we weren't guest. They did nothing to reseat us and told us no. Super disappointing experience and we are no longer willing to give our business. I consistently send my parents here to stay when they're in town and no longer - 3 strikes you're out!

We stayed at Ludlow whilst the Hubs was on a work trip. I chose to stay at this boutique hotel because of its high reviews and the fact that everywhere I wanted to go to was no more than a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Score! The front desk staff was super friendly throughout our stay. The hotel has a restaurant attached to it, The Dirty Laundry. I only dined here for breakfast. Their Rum Raisin Oatmeal is definitely worth a try. The hotel also has an indoor and outdoor seating area which is great for working. I sat outside to work a couple of days and it was a nice breath of fresh air when I needed to be away from the room. The room was cozy. I think the bathroom tub and products were my most favorite part about the stay. Their products were incredible and the tub/shower was quite a vibe. The hotel also offers a bunch of complimentary items which you can ask for on request; tooth paste, razor, etc. There were a few cons which should be mentioned. When you step outside of the hotel in the morning, you get a huge whiff of Katz deli which is actually an unpleasant smell. Minor, but needed to be mentioned. The biggest con for me had to be the dim lighting throughout the room. I understand the aesthetics and appeal of the hotel. But while I try to get ready outside of the bathroom (the only well lit area) it's quite hard to put makeup on or get dressed. It's also super dim if you're trying to work inside the hotel unless you crack open the windows. Aside from those two cons, I still loved the Ludlow. In fact, it was fully booked during our last trip to New York and I was quite disappointed (even with the cons). The best part about the Ludlow is that everything is walking distance and the area is quite lively even during the nights. I highly recommend the hotel if you could get pass the lud-"low" lighting.

Thank you to Tatiana and the amazing staff for such a lovely experience. I highly recommend this hotel for the beautiful lounge and roof top, delicious French restaurant conveniently downstairs, views, modern amenities and definitely the room with marble tub if you love taking a relaxing bath with a glorious view after a long day exploring the city. The service was phenomenal, cleanliness and attention to detail. The hotel has everything just in case you're a light packer like myself. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Also, conveniently close to Katz deli and Russ & Daughters for the best bagel with lox.

The Ludlow Hotel's Lobby Bar is chic and comfy. Beautifully and eclectically decorated in the style of Mid Century Modern Brazilian designer Percival Lafer its interior is unique; low slung sofas and chairs in a variety of shapes and configurations create a puzzle-like floor plan and so many options means you can nearly always find a spot. Look up to admire the wood beamed ceiling and chandeliers. If you don't already feel like you're cool everyday, you are definitely cool when you're here. The drinks menu is exhaustive however the food menu is very limited. Absolutely worth stopping in for a drink when in the neighborhood.

Another hidden downtown treasure is the Lobby Bar at the Brown Hotel. Everything is great and the Hot Brown is a much try! All the food on the menu taste great and the food is the very consistent. The Lobby Bar offer a casual dining experience on the second floor of the Brown Hotel. If you want a more fine dining menu with the comfort of the Lobby Bar space, ask to see if they English Grill menu is available (which it usually is).

Hipster vibes, inviting lounge space, boutique hotel in a really cool neighborhood. Check in was so easy and efficient bc they sent a link to complete pre-check in prior to arrival. And we were extremely appreciative that they accommodated an early check in request bc we arrived super early after a red eye from the west coast. Love the old tile floors and exposed beams in our room, the view from our little balcony on the 19th floor, and the comfy bed. For light sleepers, don't forget to pack noise canceling headphones or EarPods unless you like the city soundscape of horns and sirens. The neighborhood is awesome, filled with some real food gems and easily accessible to all other areas of this vibrant city. Would def stay here again.

we popped in because I read something recently about a martini that takes this bar two weeks to prepare.... unfortunately the bartender was not aware of this fact. perhaps the story in timeout was old?this is a small bar inside of a hotel lobby basically, The seats could not be more uncomfortable. The bartender was super sweet and we enjoyed dirty martinis that were "frozen" but it was basically just a martini made with a very cold mix that was pre-made and put in the refrigerator.deviled egg was deliciousthe scallop dish as well.the ambiance is just way off and not comfortable.

We stayed in a Ludlow Loft It gets a high 4 stars 5 star areas: The room was spacious and clean KING size bed Bright white, clean and comfortable sheets Clean bathroom Shower pressure the best ever No stains on furniture Staff at the front desk is friendly, helpful, and unpretentious Ambiance Beautiful rooftop view Clean, cool, and well stocked gym Lots of great places to eat just a few minutes walk If you're a bar hopper, this is the area to be. It's not loud like other reviews say. We kept the windows closed. Air conditioner worked well. 4 star areas: Doorman not 24 hours Star rating depends on what room you get 2 star areas: Pillows are awful or worse, seriously could not sleep through a night on them without waking up

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday weekend, it was our second stay here, and I can honestly say The Ludlow never disappoints!!! The staff makes every effort to make you feel at home and caters to your every need. The front guest staff and manager, Omar, were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, especially when it came to suggestions for a perfect night out on the town. The bar/lounge manager, Emily, was also amazing and took such good care of us. When we called the front desk to see if someone can check out the AC unit in our room because we felt it wasn't getting cold enough, they had someone from engineering (I wish I took his name :() come within minutes and fix it right away. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It's rare that you come across a gem with great food, atmosphere, and service. 10/10.

The Ludlow Hotel in the lower east side, has smaller European-style rooms. I stayed in the Skybox Loft mostly for the view. I requested a high floor, and the hotel accommodated my request. The seating area was nice and included a small sofa, a chair, and a well-stocked mini fridge. I kind of forgot that the room I booked had a balcony and discovered it the second night I was there. It was just large enough for one person to stand on, but being on the corner of the building it also provided spectacular views of the city. The roof is also available to everyone 24/7, so if you don't have the best view from your room, you've still got access to a view of the city. The staff here couldn't be nicer. They were super friendly and welcoming, especially the front desk staff. My only minor complaint was about room service. One night I ordered off the QR code from my room and it said my burger would arrive within an hour. After about an hour and 10 minutes I called the front desk to inquire. They called me back 5 minutes later once they had checked with the restaurant and said it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. My food arrived 20 minutes later.

The Ludlow is such a refreshing departure from the usual New York hotel experience. We came in early to drop off our bags and they immediately offered to check our room to see if it might already be available. It happened to have been cleaned already, so we were able to go unpack and get comfortable right away for no extra charge. The room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, the view of the city was amazing, and everyone on staff was so kind and accommodating. It totally felt like a home away from home. Be sure to check out Dirty French off the lobby or order some room service. Some of the best food & cocktails we had on our trip. No complaints! Will definitely be back.
