We got the oysters, tuna tartare, calamari and crab cake and all were excellent. Incredible view of the lake.

We had a wonderful experience at Central Park Boathouse!! They were very busy, but still took excellent care of us and served amazing food. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful room, in a gorgeous setting with large windows looking south into the lake, park and skyline, with wonderful personal service from Clay our waiter. Great food too!

What used to be a nice romantic restaurant felt like a cold cafeteria. Food was decent, service was so so, atmosphere was abysmal. Went for dinner and the lights were so bright you couldn't see out the windows at all. The place was super loud and echoey with patrons that had been way over served making multiple groups feel uncomfortable enough to move tables in vain attempts to get away from the screaming. The pace feels like it died, avoid at all costs!!

The food at the Boathouse was very tasty. We had the calamari appetizer which was crispy and perfectly cooked. Our main courses were pasta with short ribs and crab cakes. They were both delicious and the crab cake was huge. The slaw that came with the crab cake was pretty boring as was the watercress garnish. Our server was friendly and respectful but we had to flag him down every time we needed something. Be aware that a 20% tip is added to the tab.

I loved it. I love movies, and experiencing a place like this was fun. Note to self, the martinis are delicious if you like sweet drinks. Love two Arizonans

While this restaurant is an iconic spot in Central Park, the ambience, food, quality of food, presentation and wait staff were excellent. Often when places are well known the food can be really low quality but this far surpassed my expectations. Well done!

All in all, this was a truly incredible evening. 🌅 Come here for the ambience — the romantic, exciting feel of being right on the dock in the heart of Central Park. It's an unforgettable experience that feels magical, especially as the sun sets. The wait staff were so kind, welcoming, and genuinely sweet — they made us feel right at home. I do hope this was just a one-off since we were among the last guests of a very busy day, but I have to mention that the $55 lobster pasta, while flavorful, had very dry lobster meat. I even had to remove a piece because there was a bit of shell still in it. I was a little surprised that there wasn't a complimentary dessert or discount offered given the issue, but ultimately, we were paying for the setting and experience, and we still left happy. ✨ My tip: If you're coming for the whole experience, come for drinks and appetizers to soak in the view and the atmosphere. If you're after an exceptional meal, you might want to dine elsewhere and then stroll here for dessert or cocktails on the water.

It's the tourist trap you think it is. Dirty, overlooking a green pond, in Central Park. Food is better at most quick food places.
