Wonderful view over the lake with rowers. Bright & cheerful decor. Food is excellent. We went for lunch with reservation & Still had to wait 1/2 hr. So it's a busy, popular place. Reserve!

The cafe was a great place to stop, have something to eat and look out at the water, very relaxing. In the winter the fireplace was on, now you can't enjoy that unless you go for a sit-down meal. So disappointed, one of the places we loved about the park. The cafe was great and will miss it. Plus we would see plenty of tourist stopping in also to enjoy the view and get something to eat.

We chose this location in Central Park near the Shakespeare Garden from Italy because we would get married there.Only the day before the wedding did we speak live with the head nurse and she welcomed us well and kindly, the following day another head nurse welcomed us with even more warmth and affection! The food and service are good but the real difference is the location overlooking the lake.Since it was a small event they also prepared the wedding cake for us at the last minute (thank you chef!) and a Just Married hood!Thank you

The location that we will never forget as the place chosen for our wedding. All very well and great professionalism on the part of the manager who without batting an eyelid made us change the table initially for six people to one for nine, simply saying: "It's your wedding!" Good dishes and also the wedding cake prepared last minute. Finally, excellent service, precise, punctual and friendly from our waiters. Last but not least, great atmosphere with a view of the pond. Thank you again!

Beautiful place to lunch, and service was wonderful except welcoming. At your arrival, we ask you all information to contact you when table is ready… but after 30 minutes, I have to go my self ask a table! Then, the restaurant was not full and I asked a free table (that I saw) closed to the window, the welcoming lady refused with a poor judgment that I could not accept…But, I could recommand for food and restaurant service ☺️

Food is not good at all. Especially not for the price. Had a special request for seating in my rez for my anniversary and instead they gave me the lease intimate seat in the entire place. Definitely will not be returning. they should have kept this one closed.

The Boat House is one of the most striking restaurants in New York, however the location of the restaurant in the beautiful Central Park is the only classy thing that characterizes the restaurant.Let's start by saying that to get to the Boat House you have to walk, my wife and her friend are both pregnant... my wife is due in one month!Once we arrived at the restaurant they welcomed us very superficially, the hostesses seemed more interested in talking and laughing among themselves rather than welcoming us, they finally took us to the table, not what we were hoping for, and we kindly asked the waiter to move us to an empty table to get a better view. Obviously the answer was no, the maitre excuse was that the table we wanted could accommodate more people and therefore she couldn't give it to us (despite the table they initially gave us was clearly much larger)My pregnant wife and I explained to the maitre that the excuse made no sense and was superficial and that we would have been happy with the table they had given us.After 10 minutes the manager joins us at the table, instead of finding a solution to the problem she accuses us of having attacked the maitre and asks us to leave.Something like this has never happened to me anywhere in the world and I certainly never expected it to happen at the “classy” Boat House of Central Park.My dear Manager, I'm sorry to teach you your job, which you didn't seem too good at, but the client is always right! especially if the client is a 8 months pregnant women.

For tourists like me this was the quintessential NYC brunch. I've been wanting to try this place for a few years so our party of six was pleased to get last minute reservations for brunch on a beautiful spring Saturday. The view was stunning, the cocktails and food were fabulous. They started us off with complimentary dill dip and crudite. The lump crab cakes and the fish and chips were fresh and delicious. Our waiters seemed a little exasperated by our questions but overall service was pretty good. The prices were high for the amount of food you get but I suppose that's to be expected in a place like The Boathouse. You're paying for the experience really.

We’ve been looking forward to making a reservation for lunch for our daughters graduation but the phone number keeps telling us it’s not in service. It won’t let us make the reservation on line. Suggestions??

Had a wonderful experience at Loeb Boathouse for Sunday Brunch. The food was great; the service was very attentive; the room is really vibrant and lively; and I have to specifically call our Lashay Fuller who is one of the Hosts. She has A LOT of personalities to manage amongst her customers and she is incredibly friendly as well as graceful and accommodating. She's tasked with dealing with a large number of people and not as many tables and she is masterful at pleasing all in order for everyone to be able to enjoy their time at Loeb. Thank you Lashay!

Excellent food, great service. Right in Central Park.Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options. The one sandwich that is vegetarian is good, though.
