We celebrated my son’s birthday here, made reservation, had drinks and brought a cake. Philip was our server. He was the NICEST guy, courteous, attentive, did everything he could to make the event pleasurable for everyone. I highly recommend the Malt House. It’s a beautiful place as well. I will definitely be back for a meal. . Thank you so much for making my son’s birthday so memorable, Philip. You are AWESOME! … Zirka

Loved this place! I was in the area for a show and ended up here. The venue didn't serve food and I needed to grab a quick bite. This place is very trendy and relaxing. There was a 30th birthday party going on, and the bar area was pretty full. But I found a spot at the bar. The servers were friendly and nice. I ordered the Buffalo wings and the zucchini straws; they were both very flavorful and delicious. I'd definitely stop back here to try more of their options. If you're in the neighborhood, I'd recommend checking out this spot!

We went here for their “bottomless” boozy brunch, but the waitresses almost never came to give our table service. Even when I went and found them asking for more drinks (because the mimosas come in a very tiny glass), it would take 15 minutes to get refills. It was definitely a poor experience if your goal is to drink a lot in the allotted 90 minutes. Also, I made a reservation weeks in advance, but was never informed that we’d be outside. In December! This was unexpected and I wish there would have been more clarity. The food was amazing though.

Absolutely loved this place! My husband and I sat at the bar during happy hour. The prices for the cocktails were great. They were like $8 so I assumed they were going to be weak but... they were not LOL. The atmosphere was very chill and our bartender was so cute and personable! I wish I remembered her name. Definitely a homey local feel

The following review is for the gentleman at the front door, especially on December 1st, 2023. He was the most kind, enthusiastic, and lovely person we met in all of NYC. You can sincerely tell when somebody is happy and loves what they do and he went out of his way to smile, be positive, and make us smile as well. The round of drinks were just drinks but he just made our night. He deserves a raise! (not an Ad lol, just a fan of this guy's energy)

The Malt House has one of those kitchens that's completely given up on offering good-tasting classics that stand on their own merits. They soak their food in the cheapest truffle oil on the market to make up for the sub-par recipes. You won't feel ripped off in terms of how much food you get—it's pretty standard for the area. But nobody wants a cuban sandwich or french fries that feel like they were soaked in truffle oil prior to being served. The service is okay, but it's pretty clear that the servers themselves are expected to advocate only for the interests of the owner—not the customer. I have no respect for that, and it's a cruel way to treat service industry professionals. The atmosphere is great and the menu is largely appealing on the surface. I had a really awful experience with the food and service, but there's still something there.

As nice as this place is it was really a shame to get a waitress that was so drunk out her mind. On Thursday night I'm there with my girlfriend having a nice time and this one woman is just drunk can here it in her voice and see it in her eyes. Brings wrong order acts like we were wrong then prove she made the mistake and she all rude about it. As the night continues she's snotty and obnoxious so I paid the bill and left to another place. It's very unfortunate cause people like this bring business down and this is a very nice spot. Hopefully they will correct this and be much better in the future.

Great vibe. I like the slider a lot! So tender and juicy. Must try. Staff are very friendly. I’m not an native English speaker, they were very nice and patient.

I am absolutely furious with the service I received! Despite specifically requesting a vegetarian option, the waitress completely disregarded my request and served me chicken on a stick instead of the zucchini sticks she claimed they had. It's infuriating how little they care about their customers' preferences and how arrogantly they assumed they knew better than me. This experience was beyond disappointing and disrespectful.

Honestly. It may have been a busy day for the server because it was a Saturday and she was the only person outside working multiple tables. We came here for bottomless mimosas and received one small cup in 30 minutes. Maybe come up with a better system... do pitchers? So when I finish I dont have to wait until someone's around to make sure I have another especially if there's a 90 minute limit.

Super loud! There was a birthday party, in the main room, but impossible to lower the volume in the seated room after asking the waiter. We're used to loud music in bars, we but it was insane. You could barely understand the person seating next to you, the waiter had to almost scream to get our orders. We all left with ringing ears. I'm sure the birthday party would have been just fine without damaging the patrons' ears.

Great spot for a boozy brunch!! They were very accommodating to our large party and the service here really takes the cake. I had bottomless mimosas which were inconsistent at times but the restaurant was surely short staffed so I didn't mind. Guac was great and actually spicy! I got the crab cake Benedict and it was huge, tasty, and came with plenty of tots on the side. The best part was after ordering one round of espresso martinis, they gave us all one more each on the house. They were topped with cocoa powder and the manager told us he used to work for a bar that specialized in these so some here for this unexpected gem of a drink! Prices are fine and you're in one of the best locations in the city.

Great happy hour, Moscow mule and nachos were awesome. Jason was an excellent host and accommodated our large group skillfully. Would highly recommend.
