Such a disappointment of a place and waste of money. First, the bread came out cold so did the butter…immediately turned off.

French onion soup felt like it was something defrosted from the Trader Joe’s aisle. The fries…I’ve had better at Five Guys. What do we pay for?!

Had brunch. The food was so ordinary for ridiculously over priced menu. The table next ordered shrimp salad and I could smell fishy smell of shrimp. Too bad the food has gone down hikk.

We dined at The Mark on several occasions. Overall good experience but unfortunately it’s not what it used to be back in the day , as everything else in NYC ever since COVID dining scene have changed and not for better .

I have eaten at the Mark about half a dozen times and have always had enough of a good experience to come back. This time will unfortunately be my last. $10 for a fountain soda Diet Coke? Not even a glass bottle? You've got to be kidding me. Not only that but their fries, famously my favorite in the city, were clearly the bottom of the barrel scraps, most not even half an inch long. My fingers were in the ketchup... for $19. Insane. The chopped salad was really good, but the prices are just so insane it can no longer be justified. Such a shame because I love the outdoor seating.

I’d like to shout out Ajanay who was both friendly and professional. She was able to get us a table for 5 promptly without a reservation.
This was only my 2nd time at The Mark’s restaurant, but I will be back, particularly because of her warm hospitality✨

Absolutely terrible. Diner-quality dishes paired with inattentive service — all at absurdly high prices.
« Mark’s plate » at 52$ contained 10 fried potatoes, two poached ages, two sausages and a handful of green leaves. You would get something more decent and tasty in most of new Jersey's dinners...

Unfortunately, our recent visit was far from pleasant. We waited over 30 minutes just to receive a drink menu, which set the tone for the rest of the experience. We were looking forward to the lobster roll and requested fries, but were told they weren’t available — despite seeing every other lobster roll served with fries. Instead, we received chips in a cardboard to-go box, which arrived about 10 minutes after the main dish.

To make matters worse, I later discovered I had been charged twice. While this place is typically considered a neighborhood favorite, this was by far one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had.

We stayed at the lovely Mark in New York City. I will start this review by saying how wonderful and courteous the staff was. Couldn’t have asked for more as far as hospitality goes. We checked in and had a late lunch via their room service. We were completely surprised at the quality of food we received. I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad salad, which was around $64 (yikes!) And a chicken noodle soup which was about $35+. When the food arrived, just by looking at it, you could tell it was completely underwhelming. The chicken was dry and looked as if it was sitting under a heat lamp for hours. It also was one piece of chicken breast and not cut just not appetizing from the start. Unfortunately, the food was not up to basic standards. The dressing look like it wast bubbly/foamy. I was not sure if it was bad or intentional. The dressing itself was not great.. Not appetizing in the least. The soup had absolutely zero flavor. No matter how much salt added it was flavorless. The broth tasted basically like water. We ended up spending about $130 with the soup and the salad. As I said the service was wonderful. Unfortunately the food was awful. It did remind me of hospital food and I hate to say that because again everyone at the Mark is amazing.
