I had not been back to The Marshal for a few years ( due to pandemic mostly). But I was so pleased to see that it still remains such a great place - and I will definitely be returning again soon. The food was delicious and our server was helpful, friendly and polite.

Delicious and creative take on American cuisine. The deviled eggs were delicious and I loved my chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese. Friendly and prompt service. Small restaurant with a warm vibe.

Just noting that it wasn't as advertised on Open Table. The food was fine, not necessarily worth the cost, in this instance. Open Table has this listed as $30 and under and I wouldn't put this anywhere in that range unless you are just getting an appetizer and water. It was also listed on Open Table that it is ADA accessible. Their is a tall step to get into the restaurant. Although they have a ramp that they can add on by request, it is stored in the basement and not easy to get to. This caused an uncomfortable moment when we first arrived. Once nice thing, however, was that we received a call in the evening that someone in the restaurant had left a backpack so they were calling all of their patrons that day to see if it was us. It wasn't us, but a nice gesture, still to know that they cared about the missing item.

We attended the taping of the finale for CNN's Have I got News for You" and it ran 45 minutes late thereby making us 45 minutes late for our reservation. Despite that, the restaurant was VERY accommodating. They also had a good selection of seasonal specialties. We particularly enjoyed the seasonal squash soup which the restaurant split for us. Our choices of trout and meatloaf were both delightful. Finally, we appreciated that they participated in InKind.

We chose The Marshall to celebrate our anniversary and were extremely pleased! The Beef Short Rib on a bed of herbed polenta was everything we could have hoped for: tender, juicy, delicious, and a generous portion. The Braised Lamb Shank on a bed of pureed parsnip and turnip was equally wonderful. We also enjoyed the seasonal Autumn Roasted Squash, and the Pear Cobbler. Nicole was delightful to talk to as well as very helpful. The music service called Left Bank Radio was playing a great mix of oldies at a nice volume which didn't intrude on our conversation, perfect for the anniversary of a couple of Boomers. We look forward to going back again soon.

Very accommodating since the reservation was for 4 but there were 6 of us, service was good but slow . We all agreed that the chicken was over salted but the ingredients were super fresh. The wines were very good since they were all locally sourced, they were better than expected. I would definitely go again but off peak because it is a very small restaurant.

Deviled eggs are a work of art! Delicate squash salad was so delicious and I added shrimp to it. Very generous portion of shrimp. Frittatas are delicious. I can't say enough great things about the Marshal. It's my go to restaurant when I'm in the theater district and I keep on referring people to go!

It was such a wonderful experience! The service and atmosphere were excellent, and the food was absolutely amazing. This will definitely be one of our go-to restaurants before a show. Theo, the manager, is so friendly and thoughtful—he really makes the place special. We're so glad we discovered this gem!
