Hi, my name is Will and I’m mean fiddler I was talking to a friend of mine from another county, with my friend Ben, who was linking Offaly and Wicklow together. When all of a sudden, Alan decided we were behaving poorly? He rang security on us and ensured I of all people in the pub were removed. I’m assuming alan is a manager, and if he is he is extremely poor at his job. Especially as an Irish man, why would he treat us like this? Genuinely most perplexed I’ve ever been leaving a pub. Anyway, don’t come here..

Wow. Never have I been so perplexed leaving an establishment. So we’re 2 Irish lads, in an Irish bar, in New York City, and we meet another Irish lad from Offaly in the restroom. As we do, we chat, trying to figure out who we know from Offaly and Wicklow (where my friend and I from) and suddenly, we were told by Alan to clear the way. After 2 months of eating American food, I can understand if we were taking up a bit of the doorway, so we respectfully moved out of the way, and continued our conversation. Next thing, Alan (whos Irish!) pulled out his walkie talkie to contact security that there was warrant for a removal! So the bouncer comes and removes my friend Will, who can’t help but laugh as he’s removed for talking to a fellow Irish man. Long story short, don’t come here, you’ll be removed for absolutely anything. Alan, you give a decent handshake but you’re not a nice Person 👍🏻 so much for Irish looking after Irish out here 🇮🇪 x 🇺🇸

I had seen lots of reviews online about The Mean Fiddler, so we decided to finally check it out today. We went during the day, and it was pretty quiet and relaxed which I actually enjoyed. I imagine the place gets livelier at night, especially since it seems more of a night spot, but the daytime vibe was very chill. Our server was super friendly and welcoming. The drinks were really good though I did feel like they weren’t very strong in terms of alcohol content. Still, they were well made and tasted great. I also ordered a burrito bowl, and the food was surprisingly good. The atmosphere is fun and laid-back, and I think it would be a great spot to go back to in the evening for a livelier vibe. Since today was a Sunday, I expected it to be a bit busier, but it was very calm. All in all, I had a great experience!!!

They rip you off by saying you gave them a smaller bill than you did besides the pizza is absolutely terrible too. Only use a credit card if you are going to try their terrible food 🤮

Such a fun and lively spot in the heart of Midtown! The vibes were amazing — great music, friendly staff, and the energy of the place was contagious.
