I got tricked. Thought this was the halal guys cart that I used to go to. But it’s not and it’s not nearly as good. Chicken was dry very little seasoning. The rice was hard. Got the bottoms of the lettuce that no one eats.

Food is ok. Beware THIS IS NOT THE HALAL GUYS. It was designed to look likethe Halal Guys on the same block but if you look closely it says “The Original Guys”. Very misleading…. I hope I don’t get food poisoning like some of the reviewers here🤢

This brought back memories of the original halal street food from NYC. He filled the to-go platters with meat and rice unlike the franchised halal guys restaurants across the country who have higher prices and are stingy on serving size.
The quality and taste of meat was far better too.

It's honestly ok not worth 11 mostly cause it tasted like bland Spanish food ,if your just looking for something to hold you down then sure otherwise keep it pushing. However the service lighting fast and friendly staff.

If you an old school New Yorker then you know that this spot is what halal guys used to be. This takes me back to LaGuardia college days where you had 2 back to back halal guys carts. Supposedly this cart is owned by one of halal guys brother. Beef gyro beats any spot in any borough
We tried The Original Guys by fluke on our trip to NYC. We saw the long line at The Halal Guys, and went to The Original Guys’ stand instead. The guys working there are soooo nice, answered all our questions. I got the chicken plate and my husband got the lamb gyro plate. The quantity is HUGE. The flavor of the meat was amazing and fresh, well cooked. The rice is amazing. The white sauce is the biggest hit. If you don’t eat spicy food and haven’t tried middle eastern red hot sauce before, get it on the side and not on your entree since it’s very spicy. All in all, excellent food, good service, good prices. We went for 2 nights in a row.

I love this spot , compared the halal guys across
Amazing food and good vibes. And very economical and delicious!!!
nice guys. Got horrible food poisoning from this place. i mean both ends coming out. The food was sitting there, not made to order at least when i went. guy used the same gloved hand to handle money and serve us. would not recommend and i still am sick as of writing this.
They got mad when I told them I ordered a small, so I ordered the more expensive size. But the vegetables and rice smelled so bad that I ended up having to throw the food away.

Instead of waiting in line for the halal guys, we wanted to give here a chance and it was delicious. The beef was done just right and the mix of white sauce, rice, and meat made it very good!
