Visiting from Dallas and was in the area so decided to explore the wonderful neighborhood and stumbled across this jewel! Music and vibe was superb and laid back. Had a drink at the bar and was fully engaged in a lovely conversation with D! A must visit while in NYC and I will surely be back!!!

Still unsure if they were staff or customers that were friends with the staff but they catcalled at least five women over a 30 minute period that were walking by and no employees said anything.

The restaurant was great, exceeded expectations. The drinks were a lot of fun to try and really delicious. The food wasn't out of the park but was good for the price. Would definitely go back.

I wrote my review here again…I want everyone to know how bad service of this place is, hopefully can help you and don't waste your money hereThis place looks very nice from outside and very nice decoration, I decided to take some drinks with my friend and since we entered, we were not welcome, the bar was not full and nobody looked at us to say anything, the bartender as she kept preparing other drinks asked us “what we wanted” and did not give us a menu or anything, we asked for 2 cosmopolitan and we waited for someone to give us a decent service and it didn't happen, we decided to leave the place because it's not worth a place that is nice but that they don't make you feel welcome.We definitely left the place without receiving our cosmopolitan, we definitely wouldn't give our money to this place.And now the owner respond my other review and said is a fake review? Well no is not a fake review.

Hate leaving a bad review as this bar seems relatively new, but we did not have a great experience at The Ruby. We were excited to try it out as it’s nearby, but from the moment we got there, took 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order and another 20 minutes to get the drinks. The bar wasn’t even half way full, maybe 1/4, not sure what was going on. We got martinis which were some of the worst martinis we’ve had, even our friends tried and agreed. Asked immediately for the check which took another 20 minutes.. just bad service overall unfortunately. Seemed like the 1 waitress was also the hostess, which could have been the error in operations. We will not be back, but wanted to leave our feedback hoping they can improve service and their drinks. Atmosphere was nice.
