This is the worst place. The staff is rude and overworked. It’s not family friendly. Unless you are a preferred customer they won’t help you. Iv tried this place multiple times as a local in the area. It’s such a disappointment

The seafood was so good. We went to three different seafood restaurants during our visit to NYC. The Shadmoor was the best. Try the lobster!

Really lovely experience at The Shadmoor.. actually already planning a return visit! The inside beach/coastal decorations transport you out of Manhattan in the best way! And the fresh caught seafood was delicious .. favorite dish so far has been the skillet shrimp

Stopped here on a whim and really liked the service and vibe. Unpretentious and good seafood, cocktails and beer.

The mignonette could have horseradish added, it helps elevate it. They have it on the side so just ask.

Also the jalapeño cucumber margarita could be spicier, it mostly tastes like cucumber.

Happy hour is where it's at for this place but I'd come back for the non-happy hour menu because I liked it

Interesting mix of old nautical theme inside and surf boards outside. But menu is a little more modern especially how they serve the salmon and tuna with chutney and slaw. Good cocktails and good service.

The food was disaster. I found hair in my oysters. The salad wasn’t washed. There were bugs in there. I don’t know if he was the manager or owner but he was really rude and harsh on us.

Warm and cozy corner in 2nd Avenue NYC — discover this place during my winter walk.

The Shadmoor really nails its Montauk theme: very expensive and not that good. The lobster in the lobster roll tasted like frozen cooked lobster!

The Shadmoor offers a fantastic dining experience. The food is fresh and delicious, complemented by a beautiful outdoor seating area. The service is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Came for brunch. Ordered the burger and the salmon sandwich. We asked for medium for the burger but came almost rare. The slice of baguette for the sandwich was pretty small in portion but the salmon was thick and juicy. The hardness of the baguette (not crispy but baguette not fully toasted could be a little rubbery) somewhat pushed the salmon outside so was a little hard to eat. The fried were to my liking. I recommend coming for dinner.

I’ve walked by this place too many times before we finally stopped in. Perfect day, high 70s, and lovely outdoor shaded seating. We brought our golden retriever who patiently chilled by the table. The food was very good and service was attentive and prompt (although lacked some personality and warmth I look for when establishing neighborhood go-tos).Will definitely come back. Lamb meatballs were INSANE. Loved the gazpacho and lobster bisque too.

My friend I were on our way to a different restaurant but the yellow cab decided to take us somewhere else. I think fate had it for us to visit Shadmoor because weren’t disappointed. The grilled branzino was on a bed of spinach and was so good! The mussels weren’t to be out done either. It was happy hour hence I think the prices were good esp. for a 3 course. Yes the waiters were slow but it gives you a chance to have pleasant conversations given the fact that there was no time factor (to return to work). And I have to agree that the tables were small. I will definitely revisit and recommend!!

I took my husband out on a Groupon for the seafood tower at first they told us we can only use it between 9_10 or 10_11 on Sunday we got there after 6pm until I showed them the Groupon said All Day Sunday, after sitting us i told them that am going to order from the menu. I ordered the salmon with spinach, and my husband was almost finished with the tower as I waited until i asked the waiter who said he thought we were both having the seafood tower as it was to big for 1 person i said no that is for him because he loves seafood then he comes out with my food and apologized I felt weather I was eating out of tower or not they should have brought it out as it was not like a dessert that normally people would eat after a meal. The place was clean, not too crowded. They have the cutest bathroom doors inside and out. There are seats inside and out. My only other slight problem is that the manager had stand right there as I had to show him my Groupon and swipe it to show that it was paid before we even ordered our drinks or from the menu. I have used Groupons many times at other places and usually swipe the voucher after, but I guess with so many scams going around, he had to make sure the seafood tower was paid for. There was an additional charge of $13.31 that we were told was a service charge for using the Groupon. Even though nowhere was written, there would be a service charge on the voucher. I would recommend this place for the vibes, However, we will not be returning.

Parking: You can drive around we found free parking on 57 st but there is a parking garage that offers discount prices on sunday.
