The Skylark Rooftop Bar is an absolute gem. From the moment you arrive, the experience is exceptional—excellent customer service starts right at ground level with the doorman and stays consistent all the way to the top. The rooftop itself is stunning, with breathtaking views that make you want to pause and soak it all in before even taking a sip. The vibe is flawless: stylish, energetic, and effortlessly upscale without feeling pretentious.

I had the pleasure of visiting for the first time a few weeks ago with two close friends, and it was one of those nights you immediately know you’ll be talking about later. The food was delicious, the drinks were expertly crafted, and everything felt thoughtfully curated. Every staff member was attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming, which elevated the entire experience.

The Skylark is the perfect blend of ambiance, flavor, and service—and I absolutely can’t wait to go back.

Extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience.
Attitude and behaviour: completely unacceptable
If it were possible to give a negative rating, I would.

Last night, we traveled over one hour to visit this bar, for which we had a confirmed reservation. The experience was disappointing from the very first moment.

At the entrance, we were asked to present physical IDs, despite the fact that this requirement was never communicated in advance. During our stay in New York, we have visited multiple higher-end venues, and we were never asked for a physical ID in this way.

My partner did have an ID, yet the staff member at the entrance stated that it was “not enough”. When I politely asked whether a photo of my passport could be used as an alternative, the response was a flat and rude refusal.

At that point, my partner made a lighthearted comment, clearly meant as a joke, asking whether I looked under 18. Instead of responding professionally, the staff member reacted with unnecessary aggression and almost forced us out of the entrance, telling us to leave in a hostile manner.

My advice to management: review your staff’s attitude and skills before it starts seriously affecting your reputation and business.

we had soo much fun here!!! i was worried that we’d have to ask for a table with views but literally every single table has a wonderful view. the table setup is immaculate and it was so easy to find the entrance. my parents and i had a wonderful time!

the food and drinks were both wonderful! the chicken sliders were actually one of the best i’ve ever had. the sauce was spicy and the chicken was not skimpy. it was crispy and juicy and just big enough for the buns. it was accompanied with a nice tangy pickle and a crunchy lettuce.
my favorite drink was the pear drink! it was lovely! it tasted like fruit and cinnamon and probably one of the best mixed drinks i’ve had.

the hostess and the guy running the coat closet were SO nice. the bathroom attendant was a little scary tho

Came for drinks - loved the atmosphere and setting! Didn't try any food but requires a rating for submission.

The space is beautiful and the views are breathtaking from every corner. The seating was very comfortable.Music was too loud for conversation for me personally. The host/server came over didn't introduce herself or give a welcome greet. She just let us know “ so the kitchen is closing soon, I can take your food order and a round of drinks close your tab or move it to the bar”. I get it waiting on people all day can be sh*tty and your tired but it just felt dismissive. My only other objection is my mocktail costing the same as an alcoholic beverage on our bill. Didn't eat food since this was a after dinner cocktail hour for my group. Only one person in our group had the chicken sliders and said it was great. I would give this place a second try of course I'm a sucker for views and my mocktail tasted great and was super cute.
