The Smith has excellent oysters and a great bar experience. We chose to sit at the long bar for our anniversary dinner. Excellent cocktails, fresh and interesting oysters in the sampler, and we had excellent dishes. We recommend the rigatoni and the crispy salmon appetizer. The bar steak was good, although not as great as other times I've gone to Smith locations in DC. But definitely come to the bar for good food, cocktails, and you have to try an oyster before you go! Service was fantastic throughout the night.

A1 service! I was so surprised at how good everything was, definitely can never judge a book by it's cover but the flavors were amazing. Our waitress Cheyenne (hopefully I spelled it right) was nothing less than amazing, she was sweet & attentive & really did her thing! I would recommend to anyone. 8/4 @ 11pm 💜

Had a wonderful experience at The Smith on Broadway! We tried the burger, shrimp, and salmon all were fantastic. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, the shrimp dish was fresh and flavorful, and the salmon was delicious with a perfectly crisp finish. We finished our meal with their excellent coffee, which was strong and smooth just what we needed. The terrace seating made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for great food and a lively atmosphere!

Great location however the food and service can be much better. We went there 2x and they can't seem to get their logistics in order with the food. First time our food came in cold and addressed this to the manager and he was very helpful in getting it taken care of. We decided to try it again last night and the food came out cold yet again. We addressed it to the manager working there last night and could have cared less. I saw him walking away rolling his eyes. Wanted to give this place a 2nd chance but after last night, I will not be going back there.

When we travel to NYC, The Smith is always our go-to. We use the photobooth to take updated photos and are blown away by the quality of food. Our first visit was 8 years ago when we were engaged and kid-less. This visit we brought our 3 year old and it was like coming home. Sometimes with a toddler you feel as though they are too loud but the energy in the restaurant met her vibe and made it feel welcoming for families. We made sure to take dessert to go as the meal portions were exceptional, and even went back for an amazing brunch. Never disappoints and we always look forward to it!

Update: I came back again because I was given a gift card to make up for the situation. The chicken was undercooked AGAIN and service was extremely slow. I would not return.
I love the chicken sandwich and I’ve gotten it from the UWS location but I ordered it today and the chicken was not fully cooked 😕

Stopped in on Saturday morning for a brunch with friends. The table we sat at was small and the group next to us kept bumping into us. The service was fair but they were somewhat busy at the time. Food was good. I would consider dining here again, but would ask for a booth if possible next time.
