Great vibe and nice place to meet for brunch. Dont listen to the haters. It's a good, solid place.
Our waitress Maddy was the greatest! With my granddaughter and Maddy took such amazing care of us!
We were treated very well. Food was great, hostesses were lovely, wait staff was efficient and accommodating, and we enjoyed a delicious and unrushed meal.
Somehow, despite the size and crowds, always so welcoming and accommodating of special requests and dietary restrictions!
Came in for a New York day trip. Found The Smith on TikTok. All I can say is I got up after the terrible half cooked Calamari that was sent back twice.
Friendly service and decent, if unimaginative, food, but the decibel level is exceedingly high. Very difficult to have a conversation.
Food was great. Something for everyone, and very well executed. Services's good (though an espresso martini was never delivered and had to be deducted from the bill). It was a tad loud, but not unbearable, and the Manhattan energy was good. A tad pricey, but the quality of everything matched the price.
Did know what to expect when we arrived. Recommended by a friend. Food was delicious service great!
The Smith, and overall, it was a calm and pleasant experience. I'd rate it 8 out of 10. The place has a nice atmosphere, and the service was great β our waitress didn't introduce herself by name, but she was very kind and professional throughout our visit. The only disappointment was that the dish I really wanted, the ribeye, wasn't available at the time. I ended up ordering the New York Strip instead. It was good, but not exactly what I had in mind. In summary, The Smith is a nice spot with good service and an enjoyable vibe. I'd just recommend checking in advance to make sure they have the dish you're craving that day.
Warm hospitality from reception to table service. Omar our waiter was friendly and professional. The Smith has been my go-to for enjoying meals with colleagues who may not drink alcohol or eat meat because the menu offers welcoming options for everyone. That alone makes The Smith a rare gem in Midtown East. The seasonal menu keeps things fresh. I do hope The Smith rotates their fried Hen of the Woods mushroom appetizer or another mushroom alternative because it was so good and I still remember this favorite appetizer from their menu years ago.

Solid option that I brought guests to during their visit. We enjoyed mac and cheese, pastas, and french dip.
It was so loud you couldn't hear each other at all. Just the design of the restaurant. Food was ok
Great food! The burger was awesome. Was on the smaller size but still worth it. Their pot of mussels was good as well. Waitress was very helpful with question on menu and her recommendation for meals and drinks. She was spot on!ππΎππΎ
