Classic American staple. I have been craving a real burger for a while. Most pubs are doing the smash burger. Not my cup of tea. Let’s get down to the Smith burger. Cooked perfectly, flavors were great. Nothing overshadowed the meat. It was greasy, messy just the way a burger should be.

We were lucky enough to get a spot st the bar the other night. However, if you are a large party best to make reservations.

The Smith has a delightful menu & wonderful service. They can accomodate large parties if you reserve in advance. We've eaten here several times and it never disappoints.

Server was excellent. Went early in evening so we were able to talk with guests..... it can get very noisy . Appetizers were better than some of the entrees.

While the service at the The Smith East Village was good as usual, we were disappointed by some of the menu changes. The absence of the veggie burger and pork chop was very disappointing as these were our favorite items on the menu. While it is great to see the chips back on the menu, it's disappointing to have the cheese on the side and it appears to be a different cheese. It appears that the other NYC Smith locations have not made these menu changes and we will therefore be visiting those locations instead.

Good food— waitress was fabulous— manager was HORRIBLE, she threw a 5$ bill at my date because we inquired about the photo booth which was broken. Other than that great!

I was greeted with intentions and was approached as if I belonged to The Smith himself. I kid you not. I sat at the bar, and the bartender tended to me as I were his friend. I was grateful for this service because customers service is a dying art. I order the fried nugget with the jam sauce, braised short rib Malfadine, and an apple pie. I also had an old fashion. It was perfect. I was not rushed, the buss staff and front if the house staff were polite and courteous. Beautiful restaurant to grab a bite, write poetry, and unwind. 🫶🏽

friendly greeting by host - I didn't care for my bus area table and we respectfully offered another table. it felt a little small and I asked for the wings/leaves to be extended to give us more room and ... no problem. I'm not difficult but have opinions and I so appreciated the teams response - no attitude, just pleasant compliance. all meals delish - great flavors - all entrees cooked perfectly. Had a GF guest and all were respectful, careful and put us at ease. little red flags in our food made it clear kitchen/servers paid attention. I said I'd be back and we returned for NYs Eve.!!
