The Mac and cheese, Sugar Donuts, Drinks, Eggs + Bacon, Steak and eggs was all a hit. The commute from upper west side to east village on a traffic filled highway in the middle of a Sunday day was worth the drive. Sadly our server themselves was not but I want to personally thank Quinn the manger for turning things around for us. She was empathetic and took time to just hear me out. It is people like Quinn that I will continue to dine. Already planning another day to head down to go shopping and dining here for dinner. Hopefully we will she her again to thank her again.

The Smith in the East Village never disappoints! The food is exceptional, the vibe is fun and the staff is always on top of their game. The steaks are always our go to and never say no to the sticky toffee pudding!

This restaurant is so loud you will not be able to hear yourself think let alone have a conversation. The food wasn't bad, but the service is slow. I ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp - the only bad thing about it was they left the shrimp tails on, so the first thing you have to is get your hands dirty by removing the tails, which is not great. Also, the bathroom was dark (only one working light bulb) and not very clean.

A regular spot when hanging out with hubby - the food rarely disappoints. The burgers or pasta dishes are our favorites. The shoestring fries are wonderful. Mocktails are refreshing and always delicious.

My second time here. Service was terrible this time. Our waitress came to the table four times without clearing dirty dishes (& with nothing in her hands). She actually brought our after-dinner tea and had to squeeze the cups next to dirty plates that had our cloth napkins on them to fit them on the table. When a restaurant is busy all of the staff should pitch in. Food was good but not good enough to go back for a third visit. The acoustics here are abysmal also.
I have always found the Smith to exist in a good sweet spot. The quality of the food and service punch above their weight.
