It’s not a hotel. It’s a nightclub.

Chic without being catty, classy without the pretention. I've stayed a number of times now for staycations and all I wish was a guarantee I'd get one of those fantastic soaking tubs.

Perfect location in the meat packing district. The carpet in our room could’ve been a bit cleaner but the room was comfortable. The room service was prompt.

It was a big party today, everyone had fun.

Awesome location , great spot for a nice cocktail right after a walk on the High Line

Be warned about the rooms!
Ridiculous see through shower with no privacy. No where to place your luggage – not even a fold our rack. The closet is tiny and the shelves insufficient to put even one person’s clothes on. Very poor design.
The ice machine on every floor was out of order… may seem petty, but if your drink of choice is on the rocks…. Just sayin’

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Starting with the positives: the room was nice, great restaurants, location, and incredibly nice staff.

The negatives: I now understand why they gave me free earplugs, you can absolutely hear Le Bain until 3am. I should’ve guessed this would be the case but I assumed for the price they must have good sound proofing. If you’re planning to stay out late this won’t be a problem, otherwise good luck.

One sign that a hotel is great is the way they handle difficult situations. For some reason, the system messed up my room selection so I wasn't able to check in immediately. Brent went above and beyond to make up for it with some accommodations while he tried to find me a room. Thankfully, at the end he was able to give me the room I wanted. He made this whole experience so worthwhile and my birthday so special. Besides Brent, the rest of the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming.

Also, forgot to mention that the room (Liberty with the tub) itself is insane. The tub with the view is truly amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in NYC!

Wonderful stay at the standard. Views are spectacular, food amazing and the entire place (still) well designed. Amenities like le Bain were a bit difficult to access (mainly due to the attitude of the doorman/ bouncer) and Boom Boom Room remains closer (since pandemic)

So first of all, they pulled a bait and switch. I was told my rooms would be one price in email and they were $50 more when I checked out. I was told to speak to the person I was emailing but there was no resolution. Second while the rooms were fine, everything in the place from the chairs in the lobby to the bed in the room, which are basically on the floor, are incredibly low to the ground. I’m 6’4 so talk people be aware it’s not built for us. There was a massive delay in check in. There was a group of us with a wedding block and check in was delayed by almost 2 hours. All in all it was mediocre especially for the price.

One star because I had to hear the rooftop bar’s loud music when trying to go to bed. Ended up checking out but they were helpful with the process.

The whole hotel staff is amazing. Alexis was extremely helpful in making sure my stay was comfortable and gave me great suggestions for places to eat around the city. David was also helpful with making sure my room got cleaned after the cleaning staff went by since I was still in my room. Took care of my things when I checked out and even loaded my stuff onto the taxi. Shoutout to the amazing staff at the standard!! This was my second time staying here and I’ll definitely will be back.

Whenever I’m in New York—especially for business—The Standard, High Line is my *perfect* home away from home. I recently stayed for a full week (Friday to Friday) while in the city for a trade show, and once again, it reminded me why this is my go-to hotel.

The location is unbeatable, especially for out-of-town guests. It’s tucked into a charming, accessible neighborhood with endless restaurants, attractions, and public transit options just steps away. The hotel itself is always buzzing with energy—visitors, events, pop-ups, and restaurant installations—yet it still manages to feel relaxing and comfortable. I love that The Standard is so tuned in to what’s happening in the city, making it easy to join in on the fun without ever leaving the property.

The rooms are cozy, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. I’m a bit picky when it comes to sleeping setups, but theirs are among the most comfortable I’ve found in any hotel. Housekeeping is excellent—keeping everything fresh and tidy each day—and there’s the perfect balance of staff interaction: friendly greetings and help when you need it, but never overbearing.

A special shout-out to Johnny, who truly went above and beyond during my last stay. I was traveling with way too much luggage (including overseas booth materials for a trade show), and he not only helped me get everything to my room, but also brought extra hangers without me even asking—anticipating exactly what I might need to make things easier. That’s the kind of thoughtful, proactive service that makes a stressful work trip feel effortless.

Another personal favorite: the in-room dining menu. When you’re working long hours, it’s such a comfort to know you can have a delicious, restaurant-quality meal in your room.

This was my second week-long stay at The Standard, High Line in 2025, and it definitely won’t be my last. It’s become my New York home base, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

We had a wonderful stay here, just had a few little things that prevented it from being perfect. We were on the 17th floor in king

Pros:
-Very romantic, darker atmosphere
-Spacious tub even in the premium king we stayed in
-Very nice rain shower to boot
-Gave us Prosecco for our anniversary, very nice touch.
-17th floor had an Empire State Building and skyline view.
-FULL Gym, which is very hard to find in most places
-Excellent bath amenities (lotion, shampoo, etc. all smelled wonderful)
-See above, but towels and bathrobes were comfy!

Cons:
-If you’re not a partier you’ll still feel the music bumping in the night. Not for light sleepers!
-only trash can is in the bathroom but there’s a recycling bin next to the bed? Felt weird
-Only outlet was across the bed so I had my charger running along the wall. Another strange design choice.
-Definitely NOT the place to stay if you’re hanging with family. The see-through shower is very cute otherwise, but bathroom offers little privacy. This hotel is clearly designed toward couples/solo travelers and I can see why many left bad reviews for this reason. Still, know before you book!
-Hotel restaurants didn’t have great vegan options. Wasn’t an issue we just took subway to places that had them.
-Definitely slightly overpriced but welcome to New York

Still, we were flabbergasted by our trip! We enjoyed our stay and loved the anniversary prosecco touch. The Standard’s staff were extremely friendly and we loved the location! Despite the weird flaws, it’s a wonderful stay and I recommend it if you and your significant other are looking for somewhere cute.
