The Trie Cafe is the outdoor cafe at the Met Cloisters. I can't comment on the food as we only ordered some drinks. Beer and wine are available and although overpriced, it is still an enjoyable spot to sit and have a drink because of the beautiful setting in the open-air Trie Cloister. Popular spot and it was not easy to find a table.
The setting is lovely. But the food is way too overpriced. Even for a museum. Charged me $5 for 10 gummy bears in a bag. It also is really crowded. With everyone talking its not really a serene place to have a snack.
Must see if you are into medieval art or architecture, unique in America. It takes about 2 hours to see everything. Expect a line outside to get in an approx 20 minutes wait on Saturdays and 15 to 25 minutes to find a parking space. Parking is free. It is $25 for non resident, discount for CT and MA students . Do not miss the gardens.
