The food was ok, nothing special. The waitress was super nice. The single biggest problem was the prices on the menus were lower than what they charged and this was noticed by us so the bill changed but this is not ok at all for unknowing tourists or customers.

Nice flair cocktails with dry ice, great ribs, good food. Smells like disinfectant sometimes but not mad about it

This review is a PSA.My friend and I came to dinner on Friday 3/15. With a show (Lawrence Fishburne's "Like They Do in the Movies" on the other end of Fulton Street at 8:00) about which we were very excited, we figured a reservation at 6pm was right.Flash forward to 7:15 and we had only our drinks (Bulleit Bourbon Neat ($17), ginger ale that I did not drink ($7.50), Henny & apple juice ($19)). Upon telling the wait staff we needed to be out the door in :15, and :25 at the latest, the ordered items soon arrived. My friend's ordered NY Strip Steak medium was barely cooked. In France, it would be called "bleu." My charred tomato salad did not include the ordered chicken, and my question how heavy was the inclusion of quinoa led to the exclusion of quinoa. With no time to redo these plates, they were refunded. And today, 24 hours later, I've got credit card proof of the original charge, and nothing on the refund. It isn't a pending or "in progress" charge. And when you call the provided phone number, your only option for The Tuck Room is to make a reservation. And tonight, pressing "2" went to voicemail.Maybe The Tuck Room is ideal for lunch or brunch. That the bar was out of cranberry juice at 6:30 on a Friday night, that basic and expected requests for orders were ignored, and that a purportedly issued refund hasn't appeared when it was issued very shortly after the original charge (refund receieved six days later) make The Tuck Room not a place for me to dine and drink.Of course, I will call the credit card company and inquire. That I have to is the nail in the coffin regarding having meals (and drinks, honestly) at The Tuck Room.

We recently stayed at a hotel nearby and wanted to eat dinner. We saw the description of Tuck, it seemed good, so off we went. It took four of us about 15-20 minutes in the cold darkness to find it's obscure location in the Fulton Market Building. When we finally did and went inside, a staff looking person standing in front of a movie theater sign told us the restaurant was closed because of a private corn-hole playing party?! No further explanation and very nonchalant like -- shrug - our advertised restaurant which GMaps shows as 'open' is not open to the public tonight. We never saw a restaurant; the setup looked more like a school multi-purpose room. So maybe it's a rotating game-room, movie theater, restaurant on different nights? We left hungry, inconvenienced and perturbed.

I will start by saying that the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant was really cool. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience over the weekend. My party waited an hour and a half for our food. We sat there to the point where we almost left, and had to continuously ask if our food was going to come out. The waitress was no where to be found the entire night. Our waters were never refilled and we had to hunt for our waitress for the check at the end of the night. The food was disappointing to say the least. The place was empty so it was a bit odd that the waitress was MIA and the kitchen took that long to make a few dishes. Save yourself the trip and don't even bother here.

Steak was overcooked, truffle fries were missing parm on only one order, had to repeatedly ask for water and service, waited 25 mins for service, 20 mins for drinks and 45 mins for our dinners, and the place was empty. Asked for the manager and he never showed. They gave us a discount on the steak but at what cost? it was so hard to chew and unenjoyable and plus we were starving by the time our food arrived.

Such mixed feelings about this place. The space is beautiful and the prices are surprisingly good for the area. That being said, the food was just really underwhelming. We ordered the burrata, the spicy tuna and a burger and everything was room temp/cold when it got to us. Plus lots of delays in the service - seeing our food waiting to be delivered while someone found our server, having to go up to the bar to ask for our check. The food/service definitely did not match the ambiance.
