The University Club of New York

Very fancy club with incredible inner decor. The staff is super friendly and the appetizers were delicious. There is a strict dress code, so make sure you're dressed appropriate; they will refuse entry if you do not meet their standards.

Every thing in here is very well kept and looked after carefully, beautiful ornate details everywhere. Beds are comfy but rooms are small, water pressure is fantastic though!

Doormen and front desk staff are exceptionally pleasant, the staff in the taproom and elsewhere really need a big better bedside manner and can show a bit more desire for their job.

Very fancy club with extravagant lighting fixtures, furniture and art work. Was here last Tuesday for the New York Academy of Sciences first ever spring soirée. Really delicious dinner and unique speakers

Door staff showed no compassion when turning away a guest who wore sneakers due to foot injury. Even the speaker at my event (a tech company CEO) got turned away for wearing jeans -- he did wear shirt and jacket -- delaying everyone. Unpleasant and unpractical.

I got the opportunity to experience a wonderful wedding at the university club. This venue tops any place I’ve had the pleasure to experience. From entering the beautiful foyer, the skyline view, the prestige portraits of members, and finally the stunning ballroom venue for the wedding reception. I was in awe the whole time.

I couldn't have been more confused when I walked into the University Club for a USC alumni event. My girlfriend and I have been watching a significant amount of Horror-Thriller movies lately, so my adrenaline started PUMPING when I got off the elevator to a floor of hotel rooms that legit looked like the shining. My head was on a SWIVEL ready for someone bursting through a door with an axe.

I was completely lost looking for "Room #4," and began to spiral.

I soon realized that I just took the wrong elevator, and found the room pretty easy once I took the correct elevator lol.

Once I gathered my composure and found Room #4, I could finally appreciate how stunningly beautiful this place was. It is like an Oligarch's MANSION straight from the 19th century. It's tasteful luxury, when luxury meant more than just cookie cutter modern architecture.

They had an open bar and some bomb horderves all night, with my favorite being this fresh tuna on top of a cucumber. I ate like 30 of them. Me and the lady in a tuxedo walking around with the tray became well acquainted.

I honestly have no real idea what this place is, but I imagine it's a members only club where the rich and famous gather to make important decisions. That's the vibe at least. Kinda eerie.

Beautiful lounge area and hall for speakers and events. Highly recommend attending a conference of the New York Men's Leadership Forum.

Extremely rude, anybody who answers the phone will sound completely miserable, and will not help you. Their proclaimed premier service is not seen with their staff.

If you have the chance to go inside their doors, wearing your finest suits and dresses, cherish it.
